My girls and I looked everywhere for a soul food place. Came here the food was really good. The cobbler was the bomb, just not enough. Turkey was tasty and tender, my only complaint, was the sweet potatoes weren't ready. Main thing we went for. From Ohio. Will come back next time we come. My G daughter LOVED your oxtails, better than mine. 😞 which never happened b4 I also bought a wing to try, delishious. I wanted some more for the road, but at almost 4.00 for one, I passed. Then regretted it lol. The older gentleman there was very nice snd accommodating when they forgot my daughters cranberry sauce. We sat on the patio, small but nice
Had them for the first time today. Delivery. I ordered two meals, sometimes I binge order I’ve been wanting to try them. They came up when I searched “dressing.” I love dressing. I was a little disappointed because it was more like stuffing. However, everything else was great. I was pleased otherwise. The collard greens were cut but seasoned and cooked well. The green beans and potatoes were great as well. I love southern greens and green beans. The Turkey wings were tender with rice and gravy. Good gravy. The wings I knew would not arrive crispy because I ordered delivery BUT they were great. They were seasoned well and that’s what I was hoping. I’ll have to go in person one day to get them fresh out the grease. Of course I ordered peach cobbler, it’s Peach Cobbler Cafe. I was surprised and pleased. The cobbler was great. The crust was plentiful and distributed nicely. The peaches were not overcooked or too plentiful. I’ll definitely order again.
Great food great service great people highly recommended
This place is so clean and the food omg delicious as ever
Overpriced, no seasoning, dinning area is a hot mess. New location but won't be back.
My experience was pleasant despite it being busy. The food was fresh and replaced often. The staff is courteous. I thought the price was a bit much but given the area of the restaurant and the size portions, the price was worth it. I got the 4 wind dinner and the wings are NOT small. They are hearty portions, enough to feed my little one and myself. The wings were well seasoned, two thumbs up. The dressing was ok. I am not a dressing person and my daughter ate the rice. Overall good experience in the first try.
My first time here. The line moves efficiently. I appear to be the only non-Black person here (smile) so hoping it's authentic. The fried catfish is made to order, so it's hot rather than sitting on a warmer. There's not really a dine-in option here. There are a few tables right outside the restaurant in which you can sit at. The staff is friendly. They play Motown music loud, but good vibe for the place. They have everything you would expect a soul food restaurant to have including collard greens, red velvet cake, mac and cheese, fruit punch and lemonade. Of course they have plenty of peach cobbler in which the place is named after. I'm not a dessert guy so I can't tell you anything about. A bit pricey for soul food to go (my meal is a tad over $20), but hey, it's in Buckhead. So the verdict on the food is... Some of the best mac and cheese I've had in Atlanta so far. The collard greens were good but not the best I've had. On the positive, the collard green was not overly salty, but it may have added sugar and it lacked the pork or turkey bits I'm used to in home cooking. The catfish was a generous helping but it was not crispy. They fry it to order and then put it in a plastic meal container. So the heat creates condensation that makes it nearly soggy. I think they could have helped it by letting it sit for a minute before putting it into a closed plastic container. Overall, good food and friendly people. I would come back.Giving it four stars, although I could have went three stars. Feeling generous today.
Well... let Me just say! This place is horrible ?! Commercial is just false... Literally! The peach cobbler is where I will start.. since she say.. it's the best!! It's Not! Greens are can greens from Glory with sugar!?. Had to come home and fix up and they were still Not good!! Potato salad was mashed potatoes..Literally!! Dressing had too much sage added! And was dry!! Very!! Fried chicken was not seasoned! I spent 60 dollars for this meal for 2... I need for this food to be good like some real soul food with Love! So. I will Not return! The radio advertising makes it sounds so delicious. The line was very long..
Deeelicious!! I was so excited to try the food, I didn’t get any pics! This place is AMAZING! Soul food at its finest! Ordered a veggie plate & a smothered Turkey wings! When I say mouth watering, it was mouth watering for real! Mac and cheese was great, yams, green beans all cooked to perfection! Turkey was falling off the bone and smothered on down! Service was as fast as they could be on a busy Sat & very courteous! Looks like they’re expanding and getting the location next door so hopefully that will help with the indoor traffic flow! Last but not least their name is peach cobbler for a reason! The peach cobbler was absolutely amazing! I needed more! Don’t wait go try this one for yourself you won’t be disappointed!
We visit Atlanta regularly, unfortunately we were in town for a funeral. First time visiting this restaurant… just popped in for a sweet taste of the comfort dessert as we were perusing takeout places for dinner options while we’re in town. The customer service was typical (training training ?). The interior appeared clean. However there were several staff members behind the counter near the food which seemed excessive as we were the only customers. We ordered the peach cobbler. $10 for a tiny portion of mostly crust cobbler?? Now I’m a crust girl and my hubby likes the middle (the peaches) but even I agreed our portion was almost all crust!! The imbalance and size for the cost warranted 2 stars but I gave another star because it was tasty and familiar.I searched my photo’s as I thought I took a pic but I guess I was distracted by the container size (which wasn’t even completely filled). We forwent plans to return for dinner.
