Park Bench is literally the best place in the Battery! They play all the best music, and the performers do a great job of engaging the crowd. John, Larry, and all the staff are extremely friendly and awesome to work with. Additionally, I have hosted numerous private events here, and plan to host many more. I highly recommend Park Bench for a night out, and for any private event you are looking to host.
This place is ok. All depends on what you like. The piano players are great! They are talented and fun. It seemed they play mostly requests, which come in abundance, so the songs will reflect they audience/patrons. A LOT of country songs. Meh...not my thing. The crowd & vibe is very suburban. But the Battery vibe in general feels suburban. Also, not my thing. I miss the stadium being in the city, I suppose, and enjoy more of an urban feel. The drinks were good and bartenders were good as well. The seating is also nice. Spacious inside. I wouldn't go back, but I can see why it's a popular spot.
Racist security/bouncers work here. One grabbed my wrist abruptly and told me to “get the F outta here” when I simply and politely asked why he chose not to ID a large group of younger white patrons but chose to ID me, a black male. Escalated the situation more than it needed to be. I spoke to the other black security guards that patrol the battery and they explained to me that this is how this place is and that I’m better off going somewhere else since they always do stuff like that and get away with it. I will never come here and will also tell my peers not to support this business.
I wanted to like this place, but it fell short on too many points. I went to Park Bench Battery last weekend with friends for a piano battle show. Although the performers were talented, fun, and entertaining, we could barely understand what they were saying (please hire a sound engineer). We were at a wooden booth, but after a couple of hours, we noticed it could be a little more comfortable. Finally, the place had no food or snack. The only star goes to the bartender, who was super friendly and efficient.
Amazing venue and a grand slam location within the battery! Live entertainment is excellent and not to mention the stage, lights, and sound! Perfect place to watch the game, grab some drinks, and check out some awesome live entertainment (dueling pianos, solo performers, and bands).
Wish I could give Zero stars. This past Saturday I had made a reservation online for 8:30, Had 11 women with me to celebrate friends Bachelorette Party. I received a confirmation email back from Park Bench staying my table would be ready for us and NOT to be late. We were not late and when got there they turned us away stating they were having a private party, I showed them my reservation and confirmation, the guys at the door were EXTREMELY RUDE to myself and my friends and would not get a supervisor to speak with us!!! I’ve never been treated so poorly, I had the documentation and they DID NOT CARE!!! Looks like several people have complained about the rudeness of the staff, I witnessed it they are awful!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
They rip off their piano players. They turn the sound down so low that the singers can't hear themselves. The manager doesn't care about quality. The owner has no conviction or respect of any kind. So many live music venues in Atlanta. Definitely go somewhere else this place sucks
Second time going for a dueling piano show. We had a blast and definitely lost our voices singing at the tops of our lungs. So fun
Absolutely wonderful place. My wife and I didn't have reservations, but everyone was more than accommodating. We had a couple of good drinks, enjoyed some very entertaining music, and had an amazing night. We'll definitely be back. Great date night selection or an opportunity to hang out with friends.
Were jerks and closed earlier than promised and refused to talk to you about why they were closing. Said to close at 2:30 and closed at 1:30.
