This was my favorite spot until I saw what looks like a silverfish in my water. Before taking a sip, my spirit kept telling me to open the lid.. I took two small sips and noticed a mildewed taste which led me to finally open the lid.. I told the manager about the issue. He claimed he had never seen it happen before and that they clean the water filters “everyday” but I could tell from the taste something was not right. He offered me more food but I declined due to disgust.. Just don’t think I can come back.. at least not the Ponce location.. unless I’m eating fries or empanadas.. regardless, I don’t think I’ll be back for a while.. Be very careful eating and drinking out. No one can care for your food like you can.
Everything was awesome! Talapia was juicy and tasted great. Lectin Asado was juicy and tasted great. The garlic flavored Yuca Con Mojo (never had it before) was awesome with the pork. Beef empanadas were flavorful and juicy. Even loved the black beans and Maduros. Overall we had nothing that wasn’t cooked great. Would have eaten here every day of my vacation if I knew of it sooner on Uber eats!
Great surprise. Friendly staff and very affordable. Get the 24-hour slow roasted pork with yellow rice.
Love this place. I drive from downtown to eat here. Usually always a good experience. I'll be back to see if the jerk isn't as dry over usual and add 2 stars back!. Good stuff!
Service is friendly and great location. Parking can be tough but we got Lucky and found a spot right away. Food is ok at best. My Vaca frita was a over condimented. The Platano Maduro was not fried all the way through. Yellow rice was just ok. My wife's Lechón asado was more of a stew. We ordered tostones and didn't get them, so it dropped this experience to 2 stars.
Most fabulous tasting food I ever put in my mouth. Despite slow service both times, I have to leave 5 stars. Tostones supremos with beef.
My wife and I found this gem of a place wandering around and it was awesome. The Cuban sandwich and Vaca Frita were so good as well as the appetizers. We ordered some drinks and those were some tasty adult beverages. Our server was so friendly and quick to our needs. We highly recommend Papi's!!
Very delicious Cuban food. This taste really authentic and we had a variety of things. The appetizers are amazing. Delicious empanadas.
Absolutely amazing. Reminds me of my Grandmother's cooking. A diamond looked in ATL. A must spot. Angel our waitress was top notch. Makes you feel like home.
Nice little crowd. But lightly seasoned flavor-able food. I could of did without the Cuban sampler. Cute little place.
