If you’re a fan of traditional ramen... this ain’t it. Kimchi was sweet, shiitake mushrooms were hard to chew, and the flavors were all over the place. I ordered the buddha (veggie option)
My husband called and inquired about vegan options they had two noodles dishes and dumplings that were vegan! All the food was delicious we even had the frozen mango and passion fruit tea and it was tasty. Our waiter was phenomenal, can’t wait to go back. This place is in tha Toco Hill plaza in North Druid Hill, traffic and parking is a bit difficult but we’ll worth it.
We were so hungry ?.The food was pretty good and it didn't take long to come out. Our waiter zack, was nice and chill and made sure we were good. There is also another little cute paopao restaurant inside on the left that has a cotton candy maker and other eats.
This place doesn’t really feel like a restaurant because it’s pretty small but it’s decent. It’s not the best ramen I have had though. I ordered the seafood ramen and was disappointed that the crab meat was imitation crab meat. The scallops it came with was fried so after a few minutes in the hot broth, it was too soggy to really enjoy. I only had 3 pieces of shrimp in my bowl so I mostly ate the noodles. The broth was good but extremely oily. I felt kind of sick afterwards which is not typical when one is eating good ramen. The spicy level was on point though and the kids enjoyed their chicken fried rice. The area was clean but there was no napkins and our server disappeared after our food was given to us. Overall we’d recommend to try but personally, we wouldn’t return.
Had high hopes on my birthday but disappointed.I came to check out Pao Pao for my birthday with my son since I saw a friend posted about the cotton candy art she got from there. It seem like they only had one person covering all the tables so it took a while to get someone's attention.Appetizers, Gyoza & Yum Yum Shrimp, were good. The Simply Chicken was soooo salty. When the waiter checked on us, I told him that it was too salty. He then asked my son how his food was. My son said it was good then he smiled and said that's great to hear. He didn't try to offer bringing me something else. I ended up eating just the bok chop, chicken and added shrimp that I had on the top.The Thai Bubble Tea and Strawberry bubble tea were disappointing. My son said the Thai tea tasted watered down and it did. It tasted like it wasn't mixed well. The Strawberry bubble tea tasted like powdered mix, reminded me of Strawberry Nesquik. We got the check really quick from the waiter even though I wanted to order something else. He placed an order for me to go.The biggest thing that I came here for was the Cotton Candy art machine and it was down. ?
Service is horrible at this location. Good food but the staff knows nothing about the customer experience. Placed an office order online for pick-up as I have done for many months. An order of three appetizers were placed in one container. I informed the attendants that the orders were separate and being delivered to an office. I was told that’s how the restaurant packages their food. She snatches the bag and said “let me see what they can do because I can’t”. She returned and I was given three boxes to separate the order myself. After a few minutes of being challenged by the attendants who obviously cared nothing about the fact that I WAS A CUSTOMER, I thought Ashton Kutcher was about to jump from behind and scream “you are being punk’d” but the experience was all real.I was informed 6 Gyoza’s per order for me to be able to fairly ration the food and given my food back with the boxes. Zoe, the most unpleasant and rudest person I’ve had to interact with in this kind of setting laughed and chuckled when I mentioned how unprofessional their approach was. I left the location knowing I WILL NEVER VISIT OR PATRONIZE such an establishment going forward. My money and business can be given to those who appreciate the customer and are keen on creating positive experiences.
This was my first time at an authentic ramen noodle restaurant. I have been use to the ones you buy for a dollar or so that I lived off during college. Authentic ones are soooo much better! The portions were a nice size and so much so I couldn’t eat all of it and had to bring the rest home to eat on the next day. Also, had heard about bubble tea but never had it before. They have a good selection of bubble teas and it is quite good. This was my first time here but definitely won’t be the last….
This was my first time at a ramen place like this and I enjoyed it greatly. I dont like spicy food and my regular chicken bowl was just the right amount of spice to make it interesting. The temperature was just right and the server was helpful with making ordering decisions. I definitely recommend and would definitely return.
Loved the food, great prices for the portions received. Got the main dishes before one of the appetizers but the restaurant got super busy at that time so it was okay.
This food was stupendous. I came in here with high expectations and they blew it out of the water. Not only the food was great but the service was also amazing! 10/10
