Okay hibachi can be good because it's fun and it can be good because it tastes amazing. Orient Express is all about THE TASTE!!Is it fun? Well sure. There is fire flying right in front of your eyes. But to be honest these chefs are not all trying to just show up and show out. They're not overdoing things. I think maybe they have an understanding that most of the guests here are just waiting on that delicious goodness to come to their plates. My sister had shrimp and I had the filet mignon hibachi. The only thing I didn't enjoy was I asked for my filet medium and I def got more close to well. But it's filet and it was still buttery, tender, juicy, and SO DELICIOUS. For me i would say personally it might have been a bit on the salty side but I know I'm weird and don't like salt, plus they give you sauces on the side too so if you're a sauce person, trust me, you'll be taken care of here.We also had appetizers and that was a mistake...because I was SO FULL I ended up taking home almost an entire container of hibachi to go lol. But everything was crazy good. That fried rice alone was one of the best I've ever had (but it also has a load of butter on it so you know, that helps lol!)Cocktails were absolutely tasty. Not strong so if you have a tolerance like me they might be too much juice and fruit for you, but they taste great though! All in all it was the food that will keep me interested in coming back here because WOW it was so well done!!!!!
I went on Mother's Day and had a great experience, ordered takeout tonight and had a completely opposite experience. The wings which were dripping in sauce on Sunday, had almost no sauce the second go round. The Phoenix Dragon meal had a tasteless gelatin-like substance towards the bottom of the bowl and uncooked vegetables, there was a single small hair on the fried noodles (which would've been overlooked had it not been for the rest of the food that was incredibly underwhelming). Even my wife said that her chicken fried rice was overcooked. I almost never complain about my food order, especially when it's take-out, but I just ordered the same exact meal 2 nights ago and it was a night and day experience. I called to express my concerns to the manager, was put on hold and hung up on. I called back and was told that the manager was in a meeting and was asked to address my concerns with the assistant manager who was polite. His solution was a $20 credit for the food, and admitted that the chef didn't prepare the sauce for the wings correctly. After I explained why his solution wouldn't be feasible ( I spent $56 on this order and none of it was right other than the egg drop soup) the manager was suddenly available to discuss the problem. Not only was he rude (rushing me to finish statements, cutting me off in the middle of sentences, and seemingly making comments that would suggest that I was lying about the hair) he refused to rectify the situation other than offering the $20 credit that was previously offered, or that i drive o er 15 minutes back to the restaurant with all the food for them to "recook". Both options seemed to me like I'd be in a lose/lose scenario either time or money (or both when you consider gas prices these days) and I politely declined the offers and just said that I wouldn't spend my money with them anymore. My family JUST spent over $300 at this establishment (not including a generous tip), but the best they could do was a $20 credit. If you value respect and basic human decency I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Your experience may be good one day, and totally problematic the next day. Or 2 days later in my case.
Last time I was at this restaurant was 20 years ago with my girlfriend Tamika, BOY THEY HAVE UPGRADED IN EVERY WAY. Excellent service, our waitress went above & beyond the call of duty. Food was SOOOOO good that I forgot to take photos of the main meal, only got the soup, but TRUST ME everything is delicious, they have perfected all of their recipes from Sushi to Hibachi. A lot of simultaneous celebrations going on at the Hibachi side, real good energy overall in this place. Great parking, clean restaurant. I give the whole experience a 10 out of 10! Keep Up the GOOD WORK!!!
Really good food. There were so many sushi options. Loved the appetizer presentation. Great option is you want to try a lot of items.
Good food, large portions bit the Hibachi service as a little lacking. I guess it all depends on the chef you get at your table. Nice place to take pics with the family, the parking gets very very tight when its busy. The sushi was meh. All in all, this is the best hibachi place in the area and I would recommend it, just be prepared to spend $100 per couple.
This was such a dining delight for lunch. Food was excellent, service was top-notch and I really enjoyed the Orient Express Train Dining Car. Really felt transported back in time. This is definitely a sushi or Chinese restaurant must in the area.
Please give us two menus when there are two of us dining. You have a large menu so it is hard to share. Please bring our appetizer out before you bring out the entrees, not at the same time. If your chef cannot prepare my wife’s entrée as ordered, please tell her right away, rather than after you have brought all of the rest of the food. I am willing to pay for extra sauce on the side, as I told you, but then please bring it with the entrée instead of waiting for me to remind you about it. Thank you.
We went for dinner for a birthday. We had 3 kids. The service was awful. There was no show for dinner, even though the entrees were $40 each! The food was over cooked for the meat and undercooked for the vegetables. We ended up taking out birthday cake and left to celebrate elsewhere. The management took the food away from the children and made them leave hungry. The management did not care. The cook has no idea we were having a birthday even with cake and balloons on the table. So disappointing. Will never go back here EVER again. DO. OT RECOMMEND.
This is a review of the Sushi-Chinese part of the restaurant and not the hibachi. We came here because another restaurant closed an hour early and hibachi was a 45-60min wait. So it was not a planned visit. We ordered a sashimi appetizer, a regular sushi set, tonkatau dinner set which comes with 4 pieces of nigiri and 4 pieces of California roll along with salad and a miso soup. We also ordered Chinese vegetable dish. As for the drink, we just ordered green tea and a ramune soda. Before I go into all the issues, let me mention 1 thing that was ok. Of all the food, Chinese dish was only decent food that was not unpleasant to eat.Now the issues. 1). Instead of green tea, they brought Chinese brown tea. I don't mind the Chinese tea, but we should have been told about it. 2) instead of Ramune, they brought a lemonade. Waitress obviously did not understand what I said. 3) miso soup was super salty. We had to dilute it with 50% with the tea. 4). Sushi was one of the worst I've ever had. Rice had no flavors and they squeezed both the nigiri and maki so hard that they were chewy and hard to bite. Neta or fish meat was definitely not fresh. Matter of fact, I could not recognize one slice of orange colored meat. 4) tonkatau meat was thin, and they drizzled the steak sauce already on it, making the outer crust soggy. After I complained about these issues to our waitress, no one came to apologize or ask for additional details. After spending $150, I expected something better than supermarket pre-made food, but I've had better sushi from local Publix.Obviously other patrons who gave better ratings clearly never had any decent sushi in their lives unfortunately. We will never visit this place again.
Cute spot. Great food. No crowd, glad we decided to go on a Sunday, near opening time.Negative- asked for egg rolls with dinner, twice (brought out as appetizer anyway, didn't eat them); they almost had a stroke when I asked for a fried rice to-go (they serve take-out); didn't want us to skip a seat between parties (almost had to beg).
