My friend & I went in midday Saturday & the vibe was chill. We sat at the bar - although they had open tables/booths available - & the service was top notch, bartenders were conversational, attentive & helpful (it was our first time visiting). I liked the ambience of the restaurant & the DJ played some good music. While the music was good, after awhile the volume increased & it was hard to hold a conversation with the person next to me. We had to shout to each other to talk & after we left my throat was hurting.... it's still hurting from the strain. Hence the -1 star.The food was very tasty! My friend ordered the Hot Peppa Shrimp & it was EXTREMELY salty. It didn't taste bad, & it wasn't that spicy, but it was way too salty. She also ordered the Fish N' Grits and it was really good! I ordered the Cassie's Fried Chicken & the chicken was juicy, seasoned, crunchy & delicious! None of the food came out piping hot, more warm, but that wasn't too bad because it didn't take away from the taste & we didn't have to wait for it to cool down before we ate. Plus our food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering it, which probably explains why it wasn't very hot in temperature but we saw it as a win! The plantain waffles were good, with or without the syrup (although I'd recommend adding syrup). The prices were a little bit high but not unreasonable, so I'd recommend checking the website before you go to see if you want to pay. They charge 20% gratuity to all checks, party of 1 or party 8...doesn't matter. I do not like that, because I always tip 20% or more, based on service, but that's their restaurant & their practice.All in all, we enjoyed our visit. I'm glad I read the reviews before going, the good & the bad, but I always like to visit a restaurant myself to make my own decision & I'm glad I visited Ms. Icey's.
I ate at this place earlier this week with my wife and the manager was amazing. He came and interacted with every table, he checked on us, we had a good time. Toni was the server and she recommended great food choices, her service was excellent. Although the food took some time it was well worth the wait, I also admired how the staff worked together.. it wasn’t like most places where you ask someone for something and they make you wait for your server. This place is great and I am looking forward to trying other establishments owned by these owners.
Grand Reopening of this wonderful restaurant was epic. The feel of this restaurant is warm and accepting. The dj spins some nice selections that will make you move your feet. The food is next level I started with the Jerk Chicken with rice and plantains and my God was it delicious. There's a full bar to take care of your cocktail needs. If you are looking for some wonderful food and a good time here's your place.
Great place with a nice atmosphere. Food was great. The fish and grits are excellent and the cornbread is good as well. Overall I would eat here again. Make a reservation though.
Such a cool atmosphere! They had live music playing which made me want to get up and start dancing but was also chill at the same time. Food was amazing especially the Mac and cheese! Service was great! Only issue was the host had a bit of an attitude and seemed more interested in her phone than helping anyone. All other service was amazing though! I will definitely be back again!
Ms. Iceys is certainly an experience. The party's always live- the music is always loud. Servers were super friendly and service pretty quick. The food was good and homey but didn't seem to match the asking price. I had the fish and grits. A good choice. The fish was crisp but moist and flaky. They fried it well ?? some might find the sauce a bit sweet though i didn't mind.I heard rumors of the fried chicken being salty, but didn't try it myself. The waffles were ok. A bit dense but catchy idea with bits of plantain in the batter.Cool and upbeat place with a live DJ, hip hop dripping down the walls- photos of the greats . But not the place to go have a conversation. Music's too loud for that.

The vibe was great and exciting. I really enjoyed the live band and the atmosphere. The food was phenomenal, there wasn't anything that I ate that I didn't like. I would definitely go back again and I will. I heard the brunch is an awesome experience.
