The suya was delicious, the jollof was okay as well but I’ve had better. Also the dodo was not ripe enough to my liking but to each their own! The beef was also delicious ? satisfied with everything but the dodo.
The atmosphere is nice. Music and tv screens...The food tastes good. I had 2 orders of lemon pepper wings. They were REALLY small. The coating was VERY light but were crispy and tasted GREAT. That explains the second order. Each time I counted my wings, I was short one wing. When I got my ticket I noticed the receipt states there's an AUTOMATIC 18% gratuity. The lighting is low so pay attention. The problem is the fact that another screen popped showing suggestions for an additional TIP! My bill went from about $27. (I ordered a canned soda for $3.50 but was charged $4) to about $36. The extra tip (my min. is 20%) put my bill at about $42. Are you kidding me? From $24 plus taxes to about $42? For Double charging on tips? Tips on tips? Here's a tip: Bring your reading glasses. Count your wings. Enjoy the atmosphere and music and remember you have already paid 18%.Tip for Mr Soul: Get at least 20% tips, but stop double charging. Fix that charge machine and have the cook count to 10 for wing orders.
The food is fresh and tasty. I love going for the great music and good vibes. They even play drums for an added layer of excitement!!
I ordered egusi soup for $26 and this is the tiny bowl that was sent with no goat meat even though that’s what I selected on Uber eats. They then refused to pick up the phone. An absolute disgrace. Do not order from here
I seldom do stuff like this but the disappointment from the order today is enough to make even the dead rise to complain. I ordered suya, peppered turkey, and peppered snail. First, the order arrived really late, and while I can manage late delivery if the order is properly cooked, the appalling taste of the meals only made things worse. Second, the peppered turkey and snail appeared to have been fried in stale tin tomatoes rather than proper fresh Bell and other pepper. The snail was hard, burnt around the edges and stirred in fried tin tomatoes. Worse yet, the Turkey was boiled/poorly fried-the internal part of the turkey was barely cooked. Of all, anyway, the suya appeared to be fine. A huge disappointment!
How can you not like MR SOUL.From the food to the hookah to the vibe. Very peaceful & Organized. The owner is also a really honest & generous guy. Long live MR SOUL. I love this spot

Contrary to the name of this place, ABSOLUTELY NO"soul food" is sold here. The first and foremost thing I noticed here was an EXTREMELY awful smell!I tried to eat outside of the box and try "African cuisine" so maybe that's a thing with that particular type of eatery or perhaps it was the smell from the tripe they sell here .Anyways the food was EXTREMELY AWFUL not to mention very expensive. For 3 sides and an Entree I spent over 50$, and waited 40 min for a togo order even though the place was empty the entire time we were there , which was around 1030 at night .I had the beef patty, plantains and rice. That was 33$ for some reason.. my gf had something called joffe rice, was sliced meat of some kind with rice....Food was hella dry and old and to be honest it seemed like it was someone's leftovers that they boxed up instead of our to go order, my gf ate a good bit of the rice since the meat was dry and flavorless.Whilst eating she bit into something hard and discovered that there were many toothpicks under the rice which was weird considering the meat was already sliced and nothing was skewered in her dish, soooo upon seeing that, starving or not she had had enough. I got home and decided to eat my "beef patty" and found out that someone had already seemingly taken a bite of it !!! Disgusting!!!When I called you to the restaurant to speak to a manager, I was out on hold. After waiting nearly 20min on hold, someone hung up on me .. I called back 3x no answer, waited an hour and called again..AGAIN I was put on hold, after 10min I hung up and called back, someone picked up the line and when explaining what happened, the girl was laughing and having a convo with someone else . . When I asked to speak to the manager yet again.... AGAIN I was hung up on!!! Rude!!!AVOID this place at all cost nothing about this place was appealing... besides it being the only place open late that wasn't "fast food".This was my first attempt at So called African food and I'm def not a fan. Will NEVER come here. Again...
I love this place!! Good food, good music, good vibes!! They are open late night, if you want to enjoy suya, hookah and Afro-beats without a crowd go before 2 am lol
Very good suyaBut the dancing and standing space is so little since there's so many sections.Would come back for the suyaIt is fire
