Had found Meehan's on Tripadvisor, and several friends also staying at the Westin (huge convention) had visited Meehan's as well, with good reports. We tried two evenings but just didn't want to wait 2 hours to get in (no reservations are accepted unless it is for a party of at least 8). Finally, the third day of our convention, we went to Meehan's with arrival at 4:00, and got seated immediately! And glad we persevered! The decor is really like a real Irish pub (we've visited Ireland), and our server (Devlin) was excellent---friendly, welcoming, informative and very efficient. He made it a point to be sure we didn't feel rushed to order, eat and leave--greatly appreciated! Food was excellent and there was a good selection of beer and wine. Many items on the menu were typical of Irish pubs--fish & chips, shepherd's pie, bangers & mash, etc., with many other choices. Our party had the short rib chili, buffalo wings, fish & chips, shepherd's pie---all received high praise. Prices were moderate, unlike many of the area restaurants. Would recommend Meehan's.

Laid back environment but i loved it. The music wasn’t too loud where you can’t hear what the other person is saying. Like the ambiance and crowd. Friendly staff with good service. Perfect food quality and delicious food. Don’t miss the Shepherd’s pie, it’s must have. Delicious house nachos with chicken and chocolava cake with ice cream. The only issue is parking, it’s in downtown so expected that however the nearest parking lot was full and we had to park away 5 minutes walking. Tip - come early to find parking spot!

What a great experience. The Sheppards Pie was the best I've ever had. The service was excellent as well. Loved the atmosphere. We had a a party of 10 and everyone was happy with our choice of restaurants.

I really like Irish bars and this one raises the standard. Excellent food. Fish and Chips and Reuben sandwich was excellent. Staff was great but only drawback is service can be slow. Two different couples came in at same time and staff noticed us but continued socializing before waiting on us.

Great Bar, Great Service. However, these guys could be sued for false advertising on the Entree dish, Pan Roasted Chicken. The Brussel sprouts were awesome, Mashed potatoes were OK, if not a bit watery. But the chicken was white chunk of warmed meat straight out of the Cysco bag with brown "water" gravy poured on top. If not for the salt in the "gravy" that meat would have been absolutely flavorless. To be fair, I looked at a lot of the other dishes served to those around me. They looked great and everyone I asked liked them. So go to Meehans Public House. Just don't order the "Pan Roasted Chicken".

In town for an event at the Westin and decided to give this a try. Party of 7. Service was great, food was tasty, and atmosphere was fun. The food is basic stuff, not fancy (we didn't want fancy), but excellent. Great comfort food. Prices aren't bad either. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

This is a great bar located just next to the Westin. Definitely come here instead of the hotel bar. Far more affordable and a much better atmosphere.

One of my favorite bar and pub experiences in Atlanta! It's been in movies, but it's actually a pretty proper Irish pub. Staff is good at their jobs and slightly salty which I love lol. Head over there belly up to the bar and grab a Jameson and a Guinness!

Great pub! Had the shepherds pie & cider and it was wonderful! Generous portions & a friendly vibe & staff!

Got in after a late flight to Midtown and needed a late dinner. It was the only place open and the menu is small so wasn’t expecting much, but service was quick and the food was delicious. Recommend for a good late night spot.
