I ordered for pick up and the service was friendly. Problem came when I opened my container to find a mess in a plate and scales still present on the cooked fish. How? I can’t eat this. Then I ordered a backup plan of chicken Patties that were missing in the order. Tried the side of Mac and cheese and bit into an egg shell. What’s happening in this kitchen?!!??
Mangos…. How I wish I could give you a five star. This restaurant is downtown about a .6 mile walk from all the tourist spots (Aquarium, Coke, etc). The Caribbean food we had tonight was delicious, and the server who worked the front counter was excellent. The inside sadly is not up to the standards of the food and will be a turn off to many. The curry chicken plate with rice, plantains, and cabbage with carrots was delicious. The Mac and cheese side was generous and pretty good. The fried tilapia sandwich was really tasty. The beef and veggie patties were okay but they tasted like they had been in the case all day (we ate at dinner time).
Went and got the lunch special. It was only 6.99! It was very good and filling. Had a lot of Jerk Chicken, rice/beans, cabbage and plantains. I liked the atmosphere and the food.
Truly surprised with my order as I always order from mangos at the Marietta location and get the same exact thing each time and enjoy the food. However, due to where I was currently located at the time of ordering DoorDash would only let me order from this atlanta location as the Marietta one was too far. The food i received earlier today was unacceptable specifically the baked Mac and Cheese which was completely inedible. Literally a solid burnt block of cheese that was extremely dry. Heating it up did nothing to melt the cheese because it appeared to be an old slice that had hardened. I could literally pick up the whole slice without anything falling from it, it was like it was frozen solid without the frozen part. The fish I received was also different from how it's cooked at the Marietta location. Again I order the same dish each time and I never received it with the head still on. I thought being the same branch the food would get prepared the same way even if you order it at a different location but I guess not. Truly disappointed as I wasted money.please take a look at my photos, genuine question…Who saw this slice of Mac and thought that this was an edible piece to give to a customer? ?
I ordered my food on door dash and the restaurant completely messed up my order. I brought the food back to get corrected and the owner stalled so long in remaking my order that my car was broken into. There is no parking and people stand on the corner waiting to burglarize you. There were people sitting in cars watching as you go into the restaurant. They stole my gun out of the glove compartment. They are professional thieves.
I’m not going to go hard because we only got the basics but if that’s not hitting them I’m sure the food is subpar too. Had the Mac and cheese and it looked like it was supposed to be good but really lacked flavor/seasonings. Husband had the callaloo pattie because all other flavors were sold out and that was ok only reason 3 stars. Worst part was the bathroom disgusting as hell
This was my first trip to Mangos. I happened to be downtown and thought I would give them a try. There was a wait but nothing outrageous for a Saturday but still a wait.They did not disappoint!!! Got the large curry goat w/rice & peas, cabbage and plantains.The goat meat was the most tender that I’ve ever had at a Jamaican restaurant. The rice and peas weren’t over done and the cabbage was seasoned well. The plantains were not greasy.Will definitely return for their food.
This restaurant is the worst when it comes to Uber Eats. They never have any items available, so it will prolong your order because they have to see if you would like to substitute your missing item for something else. Plus they take forever to even acknowledge the order and get the food prepared. Never again will I order from here.
My hotels across the street and they recommended it, otherwise I wouldn't have gone. I ordered a roti, the vegetable patties and rice and peas. The roti is thick and somehow flavored with curry. The vegetable patties have a thick tasteless covering that's dry and savorless. The vegetables inside don't have much of a taste either. In fact, there's more dry covering than actual vegetables. They didn't give me the rice and peas I ordered (this was for pick up so I didn't know at the time) but rice and black beans which was ok button great. I usually eat everything but I couldn't eat any of this. For $13 it wasn't a big loss but I'd like to. warn potential customers about the mediocrity of the food. It'sinedible.
Trash. Paid $32 for a 1/3 of an oxtail plate. SMALL OXTAILS. Employee tells me to bring plate back...sat in hour of traffic for owner to be rude, CALL THE POLICE, because his machine couldn't refund me my money... and refuse to even fix me a better plate. I have NEVER experienced bad customer service like this EVERRRRR...
