Overall, the food was good! But it's pricey for the small portion. Well it's in midtown and inflation. I will still come back tho. 2ppl spent over 40 bucks with tips.
It was good and I was definitely full after eating my meal, but for the price, I would expect more flavor. I still enjoyed my food and the staff was super nice. Great location as well, with plenty of parking.Edit: It should also be noted that I am not very acquainted with the cuisine, so there is a chance I'm expecting americanized/enhanced flavors.Another edit: I would've loved more pita.
If you are in the downtown area, do visit Mamoun's Falafel (Atlanta, GA). The meat is halal and the halal label is shown on the menu as well.Ordered Lamb shawarma and chicken sandwich. The taste was pretty good ( just had to add hot sauce as I like food on the spicier side) and the restaurant was kept clean ( which I know how all restaurants should be, but sometimes some halal restaurants fall short on this aspect)Would definitely go there again.Mamoun’s Falafel1269 Northside Dr NW Suite #720, Atlanta, GA 30318
Maybe it was an off day but food was very disappointing. Got the chicken plate, Sullivan and Macdougal sandwiches.Chicken on the plate was half cooked and very rubbery. Rice was stale. Salad was mostly lettuce. That’s after paying an extra $1 to get both sides.Sullivan sandwich barely had 2-3 chicken cubes and it was stuffed with tabbouleh. Macdougal was a cold sandwich which is unfortunate because the lamb should be warm.Won’t be back and do not recommend for the cost.
Very good falafel sandwich, I like to get the East village pita sandwich with fries. The hot sauce is beyond spicy. I like to mix the tea with lemonade, or tamarind juice at the Philadelphia location. Nice manager.
This place took me back more than 20 years to Greenwich village in NYC original mamoun felafel spot. So many memories with family and friends eating our favorite shawerma and drinking our favorite mango and mint juice. The taste was pretty similar but they have expanded their menu which is what I guess people look for nowadays. Also just chicken is halal not the beef.
Appreciation they say is an application for more. if i fail to acknowledge you it'll shows how ungrateful i am. I can't be less grateful to a woman who God has used in blessing me and my family in general. I was introduced to Mrs jennifer smith few months back Right now I know how much I can boast of about my financial state. She helped me with the little capital I invested with and I made so much profit for myself and my family. Thank you so much Mrs jennifer smith , and if you are also finding it difficult trading for yourself contact her now through this.
Never had the original in New York, but I was not overly impressed. The food was enjoyable, but nothing special. The pita quickly disintegrated in my hands due to a heavy dose of sauce. Fast food quality falafel that is good in a pinch, but probably not enough to satisfy the true connoisseur.
Having eaten at many falafel restaurants, I must say that this place was very disappointing. The falafel were small and the rest of the platter was just average. The worse thing was the lentil soup. It was bland and just awful.
First time trying this place. Got the combination plate and was actually quite disappointed. First - there were only 3 pieces of falafel and the ones that were there seemed like half pieces (see photo). The falafel and rice flavor was good. However, the baba Ghanoush and hummus was really sub par. I couldn’t even taste the eggplant in the baba. Packaging was also unsatisfactory - tahini sauce was poured onto the middle along with the rice and other items.
