It had been nearly a decade since our last visit to Laseter’s Tavern. We had good memories about their food (those yummy crispy wings!!). It’s nice to see after many years, this business is still going strong, and still stands after the (years long of) COVID pandemic gathering and health restrictions.Laseter’s is still the gathering spot for all West Virginia Mountaineers games. They are the host to the West Virginia Peach State Alumni Association. It’s nice to see there is a hangout spot in the Atlanta area for all West Virginia Alumni or fans. Being an Atlantan, I’m proud to see we have this diversity here!This time we only had time to get some food to-go. We ordered ahead online around 9pm on a Friday evening (they have their own online ordering system - no jacking up the price!). It showed the food would be ready in 20 minutes (10 pc wings, $13). We arrived about 10 minutes after the order was placed thinking we would hang out by the bar to wait for the food. This place was still ~60% full. As soon as we walked toward the bar, we saw a to-go order being brought out from the kitchen. Indeed, that was our food!After nearly a decade since our last visit, their jumbo wings, were still gooood! Crispy and seasoned just right! Although not cheap, they delivered on their promise! We were very satisfied! We are in full agreement with one of their Facebook statements: “We're Vinings' best kept secret! With the best wings in town!"They have other food specials and many menu item prices are pretty reasonable (We saw they had on a chalkboard right outside the front entrance advertising fish and chips for $9.50). We can’t wait to return and dine-in and enjoy more of their super crispy and delicious wings! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking for a tavern type of food!
I love this unpretentious tavern. The drinks are cold and the food is absolutely delicious. Taverns aren't typically known for seafood, but theirs is top notch. The blackened salmon is to die for and the fried shrimp is just as yummy!
Shockingly this place has not changed in the 20+ years I've been showing up. Granted there was a 10yr gap, but trivia is fun, wait staff are pretty attentive and food was ....yeah, good.Even the drinks aren't crazy overpriced.
I would not recommend this place at ALL. Yeah the food is okay, but the management/servers are RACIST. Especially Matt the server and the white women with the gap who is a manager. I don’t know her name. My mom and I came to eat here and everything was fine. We always come here. I live in the complex right beside the bar. The service was good. Once my friend who was African American came the whole vibe changed. They didn’t come over and greet him or even ask what he wanted to drink or eat. Then all of a sudden we were all asked to leave because we were “passed our level”. Me and my mom had 4 shots each. Not even straight shots. Lemon drops. My friend had one Long Island. They also over charged me and said I ordered 15 shots when I had 4. VERY racist management. Makes sense why the crowd is all white. Treated us poorly. Very disgusted. Do not eat here.
Great little sports bar that's been around for a while. Old Atlanta holdout for sure. Been coming with my family for years. Awesome food and service!
The grouper fish is wonderful however the waitress told us all their drinks were cheap so we ordered according to her and way overpriced. The atmosphere is nice

If I could leave 100 stars I would. Have been coming here for years and don’t plan to quit. This is the best neighborhood tavern one could ask for. Smoke free, house made EVERYTHING. Genuinely good people. Poker nights. Sports. What else could you need in a local pub?? Get the fried chicken sandwich and fried green beans. Can’t go wrong with anything you order, it’s all made with love!
Hole on the wall with a vibe. Always fun to hang out at the bar, meet the locals, and share some laughs. Not the cleanest but staff is friendly and attentive. Drinks are strong. Parking and accessibility is perfect.
