Food is good, my server was nice. One of the waitresses there allowed their child to run around and sass at my table. I kept my mouth shut and didn’t make a fuss about it while I was there. I felt very uncomfortable. I understand that maybe you have your children visiting you at work but that is no excuse to allow them to sit at a strangers table and disturb them trying to have a quiet lunch. No manners whatsoever. Won’t be back sorry.Reply to the owner: This was March 4th around 12:30-12:50 pm. Yes this was the waitresses child because her grandmother was sitting a few booths down. She made it obvious that this was her child, I really don’t mind having any waitresses grandmother bring their child in (really I would be very in the wrong if I did) but the fact that the child was out of the grandmothers control and the waitress was trying to make a joke about this was extremely frustrating. I understand the child might’ve been there to see her mother but I did not appreciate her lack of effort to make sure she did not disturb my lunch. I guess I was there at the wrong time. I don’t mind children, but this one was extremely unruly and trying to get my toddler to do the opposite of what I was telling her to do. (For example I dropped a fork and told my toddler not to pick it up off of the floor so she wouldn’t put it in her mouth, the child who was out of control told her multiple times that it’s okay pick up the fork.) the situation with the waitresses child could’ve been handled better. I apologize but even if the grandma was watching her child she could’ve put a little effort in telling this child not to disturb my lunch, instead she made a joke about it. Watch the video cameras and you will see everything. This was a little one about 5-6 years old I believe with her younger sister and I was sitting in the booth by the bathroom.
I love lakewood diner the best French toast in the city you feel a homie vide when you wake in and service is amazing prices are not crazy neither.

The grade say 93 A but when i walked in it smells. It was a rag on the floor and its not a place i would recomend eating. They might have good food. But the food have to match the place. The floor jacked up paint peeling off the wall it SMELLS. Jesus christ. 2 star for me. I walked in and right out.

Hidden gem! I live close to this diner and finally decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! The food was good and Destiny at the front counter was delightful! I ordered breakfast for takeout and she patiently guided me through the menu offering helpful advice the entire time. I will be back!!
I love Lakewood diner the breakfast is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because everytime I order my food too be delivered they don’t read the instructions on how I want my order cooked. I ask for cheese eggs and for the 5th time I have gotten cheese grits and plain eggs like come on guys please just read the notes. I’m still going to remain a customer I just pray they get it right!!
I went here the other day for the first time and I didn't like what I saw they have been around long enough to make this place look presentable and my nephew asked for plastic silverware the server brought them out in her hands that's not sanitary they wasn't wrapped in individual plastic and the chairs we were sitting in dirty old fold up chairs NEVER AGAIN
Long standing diner. The food ain't just THEE best food you ever had in your life but it is reasonably priced and good. It's always hot. I didnt know they had fried fish but I've seen someone order it. The grease looks fresh, which is super important. I think I'll try that next time
