Fresh, fast, excellent service! Stopped by during the lunch hour and I was out in 35 minutes. The artichoke dip was amazing! I highly recommend the ENSALADA de los ANDES and the chicken and beef tacos. While your at it, get a side of plantains to round out your taste buds.
I've been coming to LaFonda for years (since the late 90s) and two things are consistent: the servers/service (some I've seen for years) and the food. I like the Paella (minus the calamari) and the Chicken Reuben. Their salsa is always fresh and bright (either it's lime or cilantro). The cops are always fresh and crunchy. It is great if you can to grab a table and relax on the upper deck/balcony, but it's difficult to get a table up there if you don't get there early. I find it is slightly cooler than the smaller outside front area (but it is GA). Otherwise, this is a quick go to restaurant on Ponce de Leon. Enjoy.
Delicious! Please try the fish burritos. So fresh and yummy. Also had the paella which was good as well. Had a side of perfectly seasoned black beans. You have to try the prickly pear margarita! The most amazing tasting thing I've ever had! Very attentive staff and the upper deck is a great place to people watch.
An Atlanta staple for sure. I’ve been eating at La Fonda for decades. Have moved all over the country and this is still one of my favorite restaurants. They have amazing paella, guacamole, ropa, and tacos. The staff is always quick, courteous, and welcoming. Their patio is wonderful and has a lovely view of the city. As long as they are around I will make a point to stop by when I pass through Atlanta.
I swear the food here is so delicious and the portion sizes are huge. I’ve only ordered to go from here a couple of times but my order is always correct and delicious. The seafood taste so fresh and the queso and salsa are both addicting.
Ordered a grilled chicken sub black bean for small grilled veggies. The sour cream is not theirs but the salsa is. The chicken was flavorful, tender and the rice and veggies were delicious as well . I will definitely be back for this and to try their paella, quesadillas, margaritas, flan, guacamole among other things! Oh Michelle was really sweet!
Food was average but solid... I got the veggie tacos with rice & beans as well as a daiquiri. But the service was SUPER prompt and food came out QUICK!
Great neighborhood restaurant. Spanish, Cuban, and Mexican food. The food was delicious, the margaritas were good, the service was great. The arroz con pollo came out in a cast iron skillet and was one of the best I've ever tasted. You should definitely try this place!
Very good food and service. Four of us dined together and had no complaints. I recommend this place which has nice facilities, clean, professional and respectful service. I will be returning soon.
I love the paella here. It is consistently good. The paella with a side of Maduros is good eating. The apple empanada is delicious too.
