La Fonda never disappoints! The food is fresh and always consistent! It’s a great place to take a family and also go with friends! The food always comes out quickly and is delicious! It’s a fun atmosphere and fun that it’s next to its sister restaurant! It’s an atlanta staple and a definite favorite!

This was my Absolute Favorite. I went recently and both my dad and I had terrible stomach ache after. I know it was a boiling hot day and the beans looks more soupy than usual. All I had was the cheese quesadilla. Sad to say I am taking a break :(

Great FlanSauce from ensalada pescada goes great on anything. I have them put it on my tilapia burrito.Salsa and chips best I've had.

Food is incredible! The Beef tacos have such great sauce & the beans/rice that accompany are very good! Margaritas are the best! Nice outdoor patio. Parking can be a headache at certain times.

My favorite restaurant for years. We make a trip to this location every other week. The food is always excellent!Update 02/21/22: Still great after almost 30 years of dining here!

Spent $80 on a to go order and EVERY MEAT was DRY and the rice was CRUNCHY ?We order the center cut pork chops (which weren’t center cut), they were SO DRY that we had to throw them away ($14) then ordered 2 orders of the grilled half chicken and BOTH orders were DRY like the Sahara and the rice was Crunchy ?Lastly, my hubby enjoyed the paella and AMAZINGLY the rice was cooked well and it was flavorful but EVERYTHING ELSE was DISGUSTING!I wouldn’t suggest La Fonda to ANYONE who KNOWS what good hispanic food taste like EVER! There are WAY BETTER spots than this one!

I've been coming to La Fonda frequently since I was a kid, though we started going to this location about 10 years ago. The food is great, my personal favorite is the chicken enchiladas. Of course, guac and queso are necessary! The salsa is probably my favorite in the area. Pretty reasonable prices, too! Only complaint is that they don't have a soda fountain, so their sodas are served in cans and have no refills, but it's not a big enough deal for me to redact a star, haha.

Visited last Friday night 4-February in the evening.Very disappointed with service and quality of food. Our server was not friendly, inattentive, and pushed us constantly for us to order. As soon as we sat down at our table he wanted our order and we hadn't even looked at the menu. And then again within 30 seconds - 1 minute, he pushes again for us to order.. over and over until we were ready. He wasn't helpful with any menu suggestions or checking on our satisfaction with any of the food ordered and delivered at our table. The server spent more time at kitchen window located across from the front door just standing like a hawk waiting for customers to come inside... maybe first server that writes a menu ticket for any table gets assigned that table and the tips so he was more concerned about quantity of tables (turns) assigned to him than actual service (we don't know if that's policy, it just appeared that way).As for the food the Tostones was good with garlic dipping sauce (hard to mess up fried plantains), Queso was cold (maybe had a 1/2 teaspoon or less of chopped Jalapeños... disappointing), Cuban sandwich was all bread with minimal pork and ham (not pressed long, cheese barely melted, served lukewarm), and the paella was probably the worst local Latin dish I've had in years. We ordered the "Original Paella" entrée for 2... it lacked any seasoning, had no saffron, no caramelized Socarrat... you know there's an issue when a paella dish that should take 30-45 minutes only takes 10 minutes to be served (fast food style).$30 Paella had two roasted chicken thighs that tasted like it had been cooked days ago and was cold & super dry (no one could eat it), a few shrimp and calamari, and a couple tablespoons of veggies... we also paid upcharge for Chorizo and there was hardly ANY added (seriously like 4 thin little slices). We wouldn't recommend any of their Paella dishes since you can find better options within ATLanta. Overall if you don't mind their speed of service which (1) may reduce quality of food with kitchen rushing to get food out ASAP and (2) your server pushing you constantly to order and out the door at restaurant and (3) enjoy bland mild seasoned food (Americanized), than La Fonda could be a good choice for you. They do have other locations so perhaps our experience is representative of just this location and not the others.

Good food. Plenty of options. Has vegan menu also. Food is fresh. Great service. Plenty of parking. Good for families. Good for couples. Good location. Will be coming back. Fair prices.

First time here. Not crowded because I got here on a Saturday morning right as it was opening. Superb customer service. I had 3 employees come by to check on me to make sure I didn't have to wait long for anything. Ask for Anthony. He was great! Free salsa and chips with refills. Salsa was made with fresh ingredients. I also had the paella and ropa vieja. My picky 8 year old son who has never had cuban food in his life gave it a thumbs up. That's a win in my book!
