Though a little bit of a wait (which is typical), I came solo and was sat by the bar. The two staff members I encountered were absolutely awesome. The tall young lady with braids that works behind the bar and also waited on me was exceptional. I would totally come back!
Excellent meal. Our server Caleb was polite and knew the menu well. He gave great service. We met one of the owners named John. He was very friendly and made our food for us. The cocktail was very good. Pimento grilled cheese with bacon and fried green tomato was tasty. Double burger was well prepared. Fries were just right with truffle oil. Oh and theâ¦.BEST. CAKE. EVER. It was our first stop when we got to town. We plan on coming back and have already told some friends about the experience. Happy we stopped at Joy Cafe!
It was absolutely beyond amazing!!!! The waitstaff was beyond incredible!!!! Super friendly and personable yet let the party enjoy themselves!!! The food was devine!!! Perfect place for any special occasion!!!!

Joy Cafe is a hidden gem in Midtown! Walking into a "cafe", I would've never thought it would be this impressive of a dining experience. They offer an ample wine selection and craft cocktails which were amazing. The double bone-in pork chop with mild mushroom risotto was top notch!
Great atmosphere, amazingly friendly staff, and superb food. Have Caleb make you a gin fizz if you like gin.
John is amazing, the food is too.
