Decided to drop in for an early dinner based on the good rating and favorable reviews. This place was a big let down and missed the mark on multiple levels. Here's the deets:- For starters they had an unavailable menu item (fried blue crab claws) -1pt- I ordered the TSOA chicken with mixed vegetables. I took one bite of the chicken and decided not to consume. The texture of the meat did not taste like a quality product (if you know...you know).- I immediately let the server know I didn't like the dish, and they could clearly see I hadn't eaten the dish, but was told they could only take off 20% for the plate. That was a first! I have never had a restaurant not complety take of an item that was sent back-especially if it was uneaten.A restaurant should never be that cheap to refuse a full refund for food sent back.- Ending on a bright note. I also ordered the pork egg rolls which were very tasty, I'd recommend it.
I have eaten here numerous times for dinner and it’s always excellent. Good food, good drinks, good service. Love the atmosphere. Owner is super nice too, always see her in the restaurant. One of my bf and I favorite date spots.
Carroll Street in Cabbagetown has the quaintness of a European village, and Jen Chan's is the perfect little bistro. Well crafted cocktails to satisfy the unique desire paired with casual comfort, Cabbagetown quirkiness, and food that will keep you coming back. Pizzas are unique, comfort food with choice entrees that will delight. The variety will satisfy multiple dietary requirements, vegan, gluten free, etc.
Discovered this gem during atl burger week. Super sad I didn't know of it before. Will certainly be back to try everything on the menu. The service is phenomenal. Literally a Rockstar team. Everyone is polite, inviting, and genuine. I love ginger and very happy they feature the flavor in some of their cocktails. Def recommend!
WOW!! DO NOT MISS THIS EXPERIENCE!! My wife and I had the good fortune to find JenChan's through a gluten free restaurant locating app, and are we ever thankful! They have such a fun and inviting atmosphere, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and INCREDIBLE food!! The flavors are out of this world. They are creating truly inspired and skillfully executed culinary experiences, I can't praise them enough for the food we were privileged to experience. Exceptionally great food, great vibes and decor, awesome schwag (I got a sweet souvenir hoodie), and wonderful people. We were seated immediately, and Kaitlin was warm, freindly, and enthusiastic. Knowledgeable beer advice and attentive service throughout our dining made the experience even better. We started with some dlicious gluten free beers and Radish Wraps. These treats are so refreshing and flavorful, with crisp radish slices, Kimchi collards and Vietnamese seasoned cabbage and veggies, possibly our favorite food-find in quite some time!We also had the meatless Mongolian beef dish, and the meatless option Vietnamese pork gluten free pizza -mind-blowingly delicious! The pizza was made with an in-house gluten free flour and cauliflower mixed crust, freshly made to order. Crisp and exceptionally flavorful, perfect pizza crust. The flavors are absolutely brilliant, and executed so well. Can't wait to return and experience more! Do yourself a favor and don't miss an opportunity to experience the brilliant and inspired dishes being served at this rare gem of a dining experience.
Incredible food - the hound dog, wings, loaded hash and aebleskivers were out of this world. Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Atlanta.
Went here for brunch on a Sunday. Cute little local spot. You see a lot of regulars here. Brunch menu is limited, they have more stuff for lunch and dinner. Parking is tricky, only on a narrow street. Service was good, the food was great. Loved the spicy wings, one of the best I have tasted. I tried donut, if you like cinnamon go for it. And their breakfast rolls was a mix of sweet and savory which was amazing. I would want to try this place for lunch or dinner. I would definitely recommend it. They also have pan dishes readymade for potlucks and dinners.
I love that Jen Chan’s is a locally, and female owned business! Their food is good, but I always keep it basic and order the wings and pork bowl… They also have a really great selection of DELICIOUS prepared foods, to go, if you don’t have time to hang out. They have the best chicken pot pie, I’ve ever tasted… My favorite NEW THING is their 4-6pm happy hour, on Friday and Saturday’s. Tim, their new bartender, has a truly magical touch, when it comes to mixing spirits and is adding polish to their mixed beverage selection! I’m excited to see what new cocktails will be added to their menu, as properly mixed cocktails are always more fun, than just drinks ? I’m especially excited for the Aviation cocktail, Tim has created, with Capitol Gin, and let me taste test, to formally hit the new cocktail menu, along with the Tim Martini, I always request for him to make me!I’m adding to my review, again! Tim has created a new cocktail for their menu, called “The Golden Girls Thank You For Being A Friend” , as an obvious ode to Betty White, and it is the best rye based cocktail I’ve had in longer than I can remember!!!! I had a few of those cocktails, with the Fried Maitake Mushrooms, and the Crispy Asian Wings, about a week or so, ago, during their Happy Hour, and all that, turned my frown upside down!
A great place for lunch or dinner. We went for lunch a week ago and had to come back for the dinner menu. Things like Mongolian beef pizza makes it impossible to not try new things. It was delicious! They have safe gluten free options which is what prompted our visit. The friendly staff and wonderful food is what will keep us coming back.
Off the charts meal. Ordered the meal kits and was blown away by the results. Had peanut chicken with noodles, hot and sour soup and egg rolls. Delivery, prep directions and the result knocked my wife's and I socks off. Outstanding. What a gem!
