I got the curry chicken w/ rice & peas and plantain. Listen, curry chicken is normally preferred with white rice, but this was sooo good.. and the portion of the food is great! Definitely recommend.!
I order brown stew chicken and first of all rice was drowned with gravy and the chicken had fat all over it. The food was so nasty! The presentation of the food was even sloppy. I used Uber eats and want my $20 back!!!!
It was packed to the door. I had no problem, because that tells me that the food is worth the wait. I had the curry goat and I couldn't put my fork down!! The rice & peas are soooo good. It was cooked perfectly. Cabbage was also yummy. My plate was so full it could barely close! I'm only giving it four stars, because they were out of plantain. It was supposed to be included in our combo and the price was still the same without it. Nonetheless I will be back.
My wife is Jamaican and we both agree that the service was bad. The king fish was overcooked, dry and way too much vinegar. We would have overlooked all that if the customer service was better. The clerk rolled her eyes at my wife for asking for an extra plate to split some food for our younger kids. It's also in the hood so be aware. If you want good Jamaican food in or around Atlanta then we suggest Island Soice restaurant out in Lithia Springs. The ladies were super friendly and professional and the food was as close to authentic Jamaican as any other Jamaican restaurant in the area.
Bought a patty here and the patty was burnt so I asked to replace it and the manager looked at me and tell me the patty is not burnt, so she can't replace it. I'm not sure if they think I'm stupid but that Is clearly burnt. That's the last money they'll get out of my pocket.
Don't drive to fast you will miss their location parking lot. The patio area was relaxing with the music. The food was delicious unfortunately I didn't get photos to share. Check them out it.
The smell of that grill got my attention one day I was out and just too tired to cook……Ordered the large plate of curry, rice/beans, w/ cabbage and it was a good portion and not that bad but this is the saddest side of mac and cheese I’ve ever seen. I’ve never received a side and had the bottom of the container visible like that. Plus it didn’t taste good (so ultimately it was just a waste). Then the lady who cashed me out tried to charge me for a different side then lied to my face as if the menu wasn’t up, saying the sides were the same price when clearly they weren’t. Once I pointed out the fact that I can read she immediately changed it and took on an attitude demeanor even after I politely thanked her for my receipt. Guess I struck a nerve. Like the mac & cheese, the yellow rice was dry as well. Side note: It really sucks for the owners of businesses when people compromise the integrity of a business with something so minuscule had it been handled properly it wouldn’t have been such a negative impact on customer satisfaction. It only takes one experience for me so now I know…
As a Jamaican, this is my go-to restaurant when I’m craving jerk chicken, oxtails, or curry goat. The jerk is well seasoned and grill to perfection. Never dry. You don’t even need jerk sauce. It’s just that good. My favorite part about this restaurant is that they give you cabbage, plantain, and rice and peas unlike other places that’s only give 2 out of the 3.
Pass by all the time and one of the few jamrocks that I smell the grill so I’m happy my husband brought me a plate to try. Really enjoyed the curry chicken, moist and tender. Wasn’t sure if it was drumettes or regular drum sticks, nevertheless good portion and plantain was good as well. Would come back and try something else
The oxtail dinner that I purchased last night was awlful. Not only did I pay $23 for 4 oxtails they were tough. I had a hard time tugging at the meat. I complained about the Order and the price. The lady gave me 2 more that were just as tough as the other 4. I will be calling y'all when you open. Very disappointed?
