Wide selection of donuts, but quality was not the best, I guess you get what you pay for.
Worst experience ever from a small donut shop!I am extremely disappointed after visiting this place this morning. First, I came and waited several minutes before someone came from the back to help me. I know that guy saw me unless his security cams are not working or they are up for show. Second, I asked for 1/2 a dozen donuts and he proceeds to pull the donuts I "asked" for and starts putting them into small paper bags. I asked him, "you all don't have boxes?" and he said "oh, you want them in a box?" Duh!!! I shouldn’t have to ask/tell you to put ½ dozen donuts in a box not in several small paper bags! Weird.Third, and this is the most frustrating part, I visited this place well after 8am this morning so I'm thinking the donuts are FRESH. I guess that's what I get for thinking because when I got home and bit into my cream cheese Danish, I thought I was eating one of their fake Danishes! That Danish was hard as a brick and regretfully, I had to throw it away! I also asked for a COFFEE ROLL only to find out it was an apple fritter.I will NEVER go back to this place again and I have already expressed my displeasure to friends and family. Waste of money.
Went in for a donut, was really blown away by the quality of the food. It looks like a hole in the wall, but is absolutely worth seeking out.
I don’t know if I got a bad batch but my donuts with chocolate frosting had a strong chemical tastes
Disgusting! The lemon filled tasted horrible like they were cooked in old grease and the fresh ones she said were freshly cooked was also nasty ? never again!! Bypass this place
First time stopping in today and I won't be back. I hope you take complaints/concerns of your employees seriously, because when we walked in the first thing we hear is, "I'm doing it! Will you just please stop screaming at me"The one who seemed to be in charge continued to scream at the other worker... about a clogged toilet. We are intentionally standing back because she's walking toward us, still yelling about something else, so she can't even get her mask on. I felt so bad for the worker who seemed young on top of it.So the first impression we get of "Happy Donuts" is one employee begging and crying for another to stop screaming at them about a clogged toilet. Alright. She's yelling at this girl the whole time-about anything she can now- even through us ordering (which is literally over our heads bc the girl is now leaving for a shift I'm guessing was supposed to BE done). I couldn't get anything. My friend did, but afterwards he said he hadn't noticed so much and regretted it. He also said it was nasty anyways.I felt terrible and uncomfortable watching this young girl run out crying, she's calling someone before leaving and still getting screamed at. I know this worker is already not getting paid enough and there is not an amount that makes that treatment okay. Like I said I hope your workers' wellbeing ESPECIALLY right inside your store is taken seriously. If this hasn't already been brought to your attention, it has now. I don't know what you care about, but one employee yelling over customers at another crying employee, certainly means you have a business issue. This was the evening of Jan 28.Support your workers. They support your business.
I'm conflicted. I love the people who run this place, have had nothing but good experience there but yeah, their food is just ok. We've gotten breakfast sandwiches and doughnuts. Both were middle of the road. They lose two stars for quality of food but gain one for good people.
It was convenient bc they were open at 830pm tonight and I think they are open 25 hours. The cookie was not good but wasn't nasty it was not memorable, the lemon donut was big and the lemon spread inside was good but the donut was not sweet or taste great. When I was in the car I saw the lady using her hands to put the donuts in the tray, gross at least wait until no one can see you first.
Delicious local donuts (strawberry cake is my fav!), and their other pastries are great too. Service is always friendly too.
If you are looking for a local donut shop nestled in East Atlanta, this would be it. It is a weird location behind the Shell Gas Station. The building is quite old and maybe in need of renovations. The gentlemen at the front counter was friendly and helpful. The arrangement of donuts is limited (or at least when I visited) and don't seem to be fresh at first look. The taste of the donuts were okay. I wouldn't recommend them. I got the feeling like I smoked a cigarette after biting into one of the donuts. I will give them another shot but my first reaction was meh. Hope this review helps.
