Food was great, drinks were delicious! The service was mediocre but overall a good experience.
It was a wonderful experience as always Maria our server was amazing even tho they where under staffed she made it work perfectly
Food was good. Place was grimy and loud. Service was very mediocre, even though our server was very busy and doing his best. They under/inappropriately understaffed. We were there between 3-5pm, he was the only server for all 8 tablesâ¦2 guys to clean tables and another greeting person. Floor was sticky, dinning-ware had a coat of grease. Iâve been to another Gyu-Kanu in Cali, and this one in Atlanta, I guess when the food is good, they donât strive on service? But the SF one was cleaner at least⦠We were there for birthday and they didnât offer anything special.
So delicious. Lots of gluten free options! There was quite a long wait; we got there at 6:45 and they said the soonest table was 9:10pm. But it’s understandable; after the fact we realized it was probably mostly reservations. The bistro hangar steak was SUBLIME. I also got the spicy bibimbap, and it was really good.
Man OH......MAN!!!!Gyu-Kaku was a wonderful experience! The fried chicken was tasty, the spicy beef ramen was delicious, the miso soup was better than most I've had, and the overall grilling experience was awesome!The only.......only aspect about Gyu-Kaku that I did not like was their choice of dipping sauces. While I understand that the meat are marinated in some type of sauce, having a side of salt and sesame oil or peanut sauce would have made the experience even better!They have a list of sauces on their menu, but I found them to be a bit limiting.
The food was great and we had a really nice time... until the end when we were presented with the bill and we were charged double! When we asked our waitress about it, she barely glanced at it then brought back a corrected bill with no apology ... it seemed as though she was disappointed she didn't get away with charging us extra... so she lost out on a good tip and I'm not sure I'll be returning. This would've been a 5 star review but that little experience put a bad taste in an otherwise great experience.

I come here a lot Iâve been coming since the day they opened literally !!! Workers MARIA AND ITZEL are terrible terrible representation of this restaurant, I walked in ITZEL was rude he ask me â do u need to be seated or what â who says that ? Why else would I be here he seats me with no menu ???? I waited 15 mins for a menu ??? Iâve watched management change so many times and Iâll say this Iâve seen worked there as bad as MARIA AND ITZEL !!! MARIA MESSED UP EVERYTHING SHE BROUGHT MY FIANCÉ FOOD AND NOTHING FOR ME AND THEN HAD THE NERVE TO SAY SHE DIDNT HEAR ME AFTER SHE LOOKED ME IN MY EYES AND ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED !! MARIA ALSO ADDED THINGS ON TO MY TAB I NEVER ORDERED !!! I LOVE THIS PLACE BUT I WONT GO UNTIL THESE 2 PEOPLE THAT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE JOB IS GONE !! ITZEL AND MARIA NEEDS TO BE GONE THIS IS CRAZY I DONât EVEN WRITE REVIEWS EVER !! GOOD OR BAD BUT I REALLY HAD TO !
If your looking for a last resort, safe place to eat, this is the place. Our server was friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients. The team that assists with the server were nice and helpful. The food is a basic good, and receiving our 4 appetizers after our main entree was annoying. We had reservations, but weâre still seated at a table of 8 for only 2ppl. The host guy seemed stressed, but the girl was friendly. Overall this is a safe last resort place to eat, definitely not a place to impress. It looks like itâs being ran by all young adults, but they were all friendly, and professional.
Great experience and quality of food! I forgot our waitress name but she was excellent.
