I wanted to like it after discovering them at a farmers market decades ago. however, the amount of excess flour on the pita ruined the experience. Could not overcome the awful taste and texture of raw flour on our falafel sandwiches. Ended up covered with flour all over our faces and clothes, I brought a bag of pita home, not knowing about all the extra flour (we also didn't open sandwiches until we arrived home) and spent quite a bit of time and effort attempting to scrape, shake excess flour. Still couldn't get rid of the taste of raw flour.
I highly recommend this authentic Israeli store. The chicken shawarma is very flavorful and moist. Their pita is excellent! Fresh and fluffy on the inside and just enough crunch on the outside which goes so well with the falafel, hummus and babaganoush. Baked goods, salads and a lot more homemade food was of very good size and great value for money!
