Warm greeting, courteous staff. Buying to drop off at a business. Gentleman that helped me suggested a variety box of their most popular donuts....he also advised excluding nuts due to unknown allergies. THAT WAS A PROTIP! It shows you care, thank you!!Then he turned around and crafted these beautiful donuts!! Truly artisanal!!Will be back again!
Not the best place for coffee - at least my personal experience. Donuts are good and usually hot. You can see them making it in front of you. Lots of options to customize your donuts. I wish they had more diet friendly options (e.g. vegan, sugar free, etc.) Limited seating inside and no seating outside so most people order to go.
I visited for the first time May 2022. Excellent doughnuts, individually made. Even though the person working had many orders to handle, he was friendly and took care with each doughnut. Coffee was good too. I am so glad I discovered this shop!
If you're looking for donuts that go beyond the usual, you've come to the right place. The donuts are freshly made while you wait. Don't worry, it doesn't take long. Duck Donuts offers a variety of different toppings and flavorings to finish off your cake-based donuts. There's a nice variety, including seasonal flavors. One thing I've learned from going a few times is to ask the staff member to allow the donut to cool down a bit. I found that if it's too warm, the toppings will melt off, if you're not eating it right away. The donuts run about $2 each. Service is friendly. Duck also offers sandwiches, ice cream and a variety of drinks. Duck Donuts has a few locations, including this one in a Buckhead strip center. One word: Ducklicious.
I visited this black owned establishment on Friday, April 15, 2022. There are two black owned locations which are the Toco Hills location, and the Buckhead location which is this one. I called prior to and spoke to I presume was the manager. I inquired if we could come right before 5 pm and get some doughnuts. He was very polite and professional. He stated we could either order the doughnuts online or come in the store and order. He stated as long as we came in before 5 pm we would be serviced. I made my way over to the establishment and arrived right at 4:48 pm. It is located in a really nice plaza in Buckhead. Upon arrival, the establishing the was clean, modern, and quite cute. When we got to the counter to we ordered a 1/2 dozen doughnuts in a variety of flavors. The flavors we chose were: bacon in the sun, cookies and cream, the boardwalk, s’mores, chocolate with peanuts, and French toast. The doughnuts are made to order so once we purchased we waited for the manager to make them. It appeared the business also makes espresso and other coffee type drinks as well. I believe they also sell and serve breakfast sandwiches in the morning. I felt the cost was reasonable considering these are fresh doughnuts and so uniquely decorated with a wide assortment of flavors. It was hard to choose because there are many choices. At this time of year they have seasonal spring flavors which looked delicious as well. The making of the doughnuts only took several minutes. Once we received the doughnuts, the manager presented them to us and they looked delectable! He dressed them up so well and they looked even better than the photo selection chart. I told him how pleased I was with them. I also informed him that I had called to inquire if we could get doughnuts before 5 pm or was there a cut off time. He stated very nicely that as long as we arrived before 5 pm we would be serviced and to ask for him if we ever had an issue. I was very pleased hearing this. The doughnuts themselves were warm and fresh. I could feel the warmth coming from the box. They do have other locations around metro Atlanta that stay open a bit later even one until 8 pm, but I try to support my black businesses when I can so this was my preferred location. I took the doughnuts home and they were still warm by the time I arrived. The first doughnut I ate was definitely the bacon in the sun. It was so warm, delicious, and had a savory balance. The cake doughnut base was also quite fresh and not too sweet or too bland. It was a perfect combination of sweet and salty flavors fused. My friend greatly enjoyed their doughnuts as well in the flavors of s’mores and French toast. They savored every bite just like I did of warmth and sweetness. They were also impressed with the amount of ingredient toppings the manager decorated the doughnuts with. I ate the boardwalk doughnut cold the next day because they’re so good! It too was also delicious and yummy. I decided to save the chocolate with peanuts, and cookies n’ cream doughnuts for my coworker. I gave them to her a couple of days later and she stated the chocolate with peanuts was pretty decent. She really liked the cookies n’ cream doughnut the best. I think these doughnuts are best enjoyed warm right out of the box. Either way the doughnuts are quite delicious and I have heard great reviews from others about them including my hairdresser and other coworkers. I believe this franchise is also located in other states including California. This will probably be my go to doughnut business location since it is black owned, in a nice area of Atlanta, and the doughnuts are made to order. In comparison to Krispy Kreme which is another doughnut establishment that makes doughnuts warm when the hot light is on, this is hands down way better. I say this also mainly because all of Duck Donuts doughnuts are made to order and there is such a wide variety of them. Krispy Kreme only makes the glazed doughnuts warm. I would highly recommend this location to anyone in the Atlanta area who has a taste for some amazing doughnuts.

When they said made to order they mean that…such a cool experience to see the process and not pick off a wall of already made treats…..not to mention how amazingly good their doughnuts are ???

Beautiful inside, soon as you enter the place, you start feeling hungry and their fresh donuts are amazing. The staff is great and very friendly.
Donuts were great. They have a big variety and the donuts are made fresh right in front of you. Raha had amazing customer service and was very efficient.
