The venue rocks! Staff is amazing! Musical talent are great! What happen to the wine???? The chardonnay is horrible!!! I tried to send it back because I thought it had turned bad. No! That's the way it tastes........ Absolute failure when it comes to wine. Maybe change the name from city winery to city music or something that doesn't set my expectations of having drinkable wine on the menu. I ordered a bottle thinking it must be the glass that is bad. No! The bottle was the same. It's that bad!!! Please change your wine or allow me to bring a $9 bottle of J Lohr Chardonnay and I will pay you a $20 corking fee.
We had the BEST time at the Sarah and Katie show! Seriously one of the best performances we have ever seen. And this venue is incredible - great sound and views from any seat. Plus they have the best, most helpful staff around. From the hostess who helped my mom with accessibility coming in (mobility issues prevent her from using the stairs) to the booking manager who held the door for us on the way out, everyone is kind, personable, and provides top notch service. Our waiter, Chris, made excellent wine recommendations and somehow took great care of us without ever interrupting the show. And the food was delicious! 13/10 would recommend.
Eric Benet was wonderful! He was so interactive with the crowd. He put on such a great show. We sat up against the stage and enjoyed being up close and personal with the artist. All ordering is done through the app now, which was much quicker than waiting on a server as that place is intimate but fills up. Can't wait for my next show.
The first time attending City Winery and sunday was chosen to thwart off heart ache ?. The venue is/was spacious, chic, inexpensive and located in the Ponce City Market. The website was easy to follow for events, dining and menu. Street parking is available before event for $2-$6. Dinner is available before event and during event. @conyadoss Conya Doss is a soulful artist tonight. First time listening to Conya live. The show started at 8PM and ended about 9:30PM- Conya's son and younger sister was part of her show-talented family. Ordering is done through QR code, which enhanced the dining experience. The waitress/waiters wore masks. Glass of wine is about $11-$15. It may be effective to order a bottle for about $46. Unique: A bottle of wine (s) is available to be ordered prior to arrival. However, the ordered wine is not removed from table. After about thirty minutes into show, other guests may drink wine. Table settings are for 4 people to a table. Conya's song "Wishful Thinking" is a ballad of love lost. Excerpt from song: What are we doing here.. In order to grow to be.....We need to take it serious.... Excerpt endCity Winery experience was new, and Conya Doss was extremely soulful.
I'm glad I didn't read some of the reviews before buying tickets....I actually had a great time. The food prices were pricey for what you get, but overall my first experience was great. I'll be back!! RES put on a GREAT show!!!
As mentioned in the review email, we had a reservation for 8:45p and arrived at 8:39p. We were immediately seated by a friendly hostess and patiently waited to begin our experience. Still waiting to be acknowledged by ANYONE at approximately 9:07p we observed a server Ya-Ya introduce herself to a table seated near ours, she explained how she got the nickname Ya ya, takes there order offers them a wine sample as well as share the exciting news that she had recently got engaged and expressed how she loved her “big head baby”. and he’s so good to her. (I’m a teacher so I don’t miss details lol ) Eager to begin our experience my partner suggested we find out whose server and considering the server Yaya checked on the tables surrounding I declined to do so with the thoughts of not wanting to appear as impatient. and offend our waitress. Well we waited and observed …….. waited and observed. At this point my very cool, calm and collected partner decided to ask the hostess if we had an assigned server and was told that they would be with us soon. By 9:29p still nothing, no acknowledgement, not even a glass of water.During our experience we witnessed numerous the manager(slim black male with glasses),waitress and servers repeatedly walk by occupied and engaged with everyone except us. At 9:33, we decided to leave. While walking towards the door the hostess by the Ponce city staircase exit apologized and said thank you for visiting and that ended our experience. We drove from Alpharetta and paid to park for absolutely nothing. Not even water. We wasted 45 minutes of our time in a venue we’re no one even made eye contact with us as if we were ghosts. This was truly the most offensive and worst dining experience I’ve had in my entire life and I wouldn’t dare recommend this place to family friends or colleagues but I would recommend this to ghosts. Thanks for “acknowledging” my review.
Love coming to shows here. Visited this past Friday for Kindred the family soul. Was an amazing show. The tables are a bit tight so make sure you use the restroom before you sit down to cut down on having to get up lol. The wine selection is great and the salad I had was very tasty. Can’t wait to go back.
My party attended the Elle Varner concert on Saturday April 16! Elle was awesome, but the customer service experience was exquisite! Ms. Sallis made sure we had VIP service, and Jen and the wait staff were phenomenal! The food was delicious and the champagne on point! Thank you for a wonderful experience! We are already planning our next visits!
Had an amazing time at the city winery with my girl friends for my Treat your Self Special Sunday! The jazz brunch with the PR experience was so much fun. Giving 4 instead of 5 stars because the tables were too close together so it made the experience a little uncomfortable and the room was too dark to see to order or eat your food.
I’ve been to smaller establishments or holes in the wall for dinner. I’ve been to wineries without the hype. The least glamorous places put more effort into their food presentation, ingredients, and wine list. The wine and food should be upgraded by a real cook then then the staff should eat it. I don’t expect 100% execution but at least care about how the food taste and drink your own wine to confirm it’s excellent.I’ve had CVS wine better than their home grown.Me being a automotive professional I could improve their menu and customers interest with amicable skills in the kitchen with a child assisting.Server was attentive and nice. Update… Well thought she was. Manager made his walk and may not understand food.Poke bowl. No rice. No chopsticks. Hidden tuna.Flat bread shaped round. Cold spinach tossed on top it.Shrimp and grits. Grits not whipped and taste like the flavor was underwhelming. More grit flavor for breakfast.Wine so so.
