I worked with CEG bakery for many personal events, including my wedding. They were responsive and helpful. They offered up customization of macarons for our wedding's macaron towers and everyone has always loved everything we order from here!
I ordered a baby shower cake for a colleague and had it delivered to a local venue. Katha was responsive, kind, and the cake was delivered on time and smoothly. The cake was beautiful, exactly as we’d discussed, and delicious! While I’m not local to the area I would highly recommend CEG and will gladly sing their praises.
Wanted to find the perfect coconut cake for my mom’s birthday and this was it! So delicious! This bakery is adorable and I can’t wait to try more of their goodies.
I was driving around running errands and needed something sweet. I stumbled upon this bakery because of those amazing pictures on google maps and boy am I happy I did. I ordered a salted caramel cupcake and it was to die for. The frosting tasted so fresh, sweet but not overwhelming (I actually ate it all which usually is too much), and just every part was delicious. Huge huge fan and will be coming back. COME SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL PEEPS! Two sisters running these delicious cupcakes come on!!
To preface this, I contacted almost 10 bakeries regarding a cake for my wedding and only got two calls back. One from a bakery stating they didn't do wedding cake, the other from CEG. I am so, so happy they called me back! From the start they listened to what I wanted and were incredibly helpful and easy to work with. Picking up the cake was easy too, they brought it right to my car and set it on my lap! We had over half of the cake left over after the wedding and froze it, thinking we would get tired of it... well, we haven't. We keep defrosting large chunks and eating them. I absolutely recommend CEG for your wedding cake or bakery needs.
I worked with CEG bakery 2 weeks in advance for a custom birthday cake order. The cake order was confirmed, the pickup time and date was confirmed. On the day of, the bakery completely ghosted me. They read my text (read notification came up) and still didn’t reply back to my multiple texts asking for an update. I called and left multiple voice messages and one stating if there was an emergency or even if the cake was not done to just update me so I can make plans accordingly. I was left in a position where I didn’t know if I should make my husband wait longer at the bakery (after waiting an hour) or if we should look for other cakes. All bakeries were closed that day and we ended up buying a random Kroger cake. The whole party planned for that day got messed up because we were out trying to find a cake. And till date no message, no apology nothing for ruining such a big day for us.The bakery was extremely unprofessional, and doesn’t seem to respect others time. Would not recommend you go with them for any events.Response to owner: I was given no information at all about the time limit you had for payment. I have all our texts and am happy to post those for proof. There were no remainders from the business as well. There was one email when the invoice was cancelled the day before the delivery date. I had immediately texted stating that the invoice got cancelled please send another one. And truly if you felt the fault was mine then you should have had no problem replying to my texts and my calls. But rather you left my message on read as soon as I sent it and ignored every request of mine to just give me an update so I could do damage control. Once again there was absolutely no communication regarding payment time limit. And I can provide all our texts for proof.Lastly, I delayed writing this review because I was truly worried there might have been an emergency which caused this issue and gave the benefit of doubt. But despite this courtesy, I only got the courtesy of a reply after I post a review. Once again very poor professionalism.
Would give zero stars if I could. Totally flaked on our cake with no warning.Wife had arranged a cake for a family birthday via CEG Bakery. Design was confirmed, and the bakery confirmed that they would have it ready on the 29th at 10AM. On the day of, I drove 45 minutes and waited another hour in pouring rain for them to show up. But no response to any call or text. Worst custom cake experience ever - don’t go with them unless you want to be left hanging on your big day.Edit (reply to CEG response): Your invoice system had issues on the 22nd (we have proof of this via texts exchanged). You never told us that we needed to pay 48 hours in advance (again, have text evidence). You finally sent the corrected invoice (upon our request) during a time where my wife, who is a front-line physician, was working a multi-day shift. She tried to pay it as soon as she got off, but couldn’t due to the cancellation notice. She again proactively texted you about this (ZERO communication from you during this entire time indicating time-limits or invoice cancellation despite you having her direct mobile number), but no reply. So we assumed things were ok and I could just pay in person on pickup. There was a complete lack of any communication from your side throughout this process.
They use all raw ingredients. The owner was EXTREMELY polite to me and offered good service and explanation of the cupcakes offered, their description and ingredients. I shared my cupcakes with my friends and they definitely felt the difference! Thank you so much! Im from Boston and came in last minute and wanted to try some genuine cupcakes. This place definitely hit the spot.
Cute little local bakery with an amazing menu that changes every week! I'm so glad I got to try this place today. Loved their cupcakes - so moist with the butter cream frosting! ? Chai Latte was soo soothing in this chilly weather. Indoor seating isn't open yet.
