BAD SERVICE.My Girlfriend and I stopped in for a drink on Friday night. I wanted a drink but my gf did not, so I asked the bartender if she could make a “mocktail”. The bartender stared at me for a couple of seconds and started to ridicule me for asking for a drink without alcohol. There’s no reason why any customer should be criticized for asking about non alcoholic options. What if she was the DD that night? What if my gf was pregnant? What if she just didn’t want an alcoholic drink?I’ve asked the same question at other businesses in The Beacon (Patria Cocina, Elsewhere), was provided a solution, and had a much better experience. We decided to try Buteco last night out of curiosity, but WILL NOT BE RETURNING bc of the way we were treated.
Great coffee, great service, mediocre food.We had the sampler of appetizers and the Paulo hot dog. They were both just OK. Nothing special, even though the hotdog looked very goodExtra points for the coffee and cocktails though. And the bartender/server was nice (even though there’s no table service, all counter service, which is fine!)
This was one of the stops I enjoyed while I was in ATL. It's just some nights you're having such an amazing time you don't want to go home. The locals remembered Buteco was opened pretty late even though it's a weekday. It's a short Uber ride from the stadium. It's in a strip mall area with some eateries. Our livers wanted more so you could have coffee or liquor. Guess what we decided?!! Liquor and beer. The staff was friendly and bubbly serving up shots and drink orders to the crowd. The crowd being up because we came in about 8 deep. Live DJ on the patio spinning and folks inside, outside and patio. You didn't have to be on top of each other. It was a cool little spot and since we have people flying out we needed one more toast to the success of Craft Beer Con we attended with more to come by the weekend.
Great service and bomb food. Gotta try them out. They also have e new menu items coming soon... ? excited ? ?
This place was honestly not welcoming. The food and coffee were not good and overpriced for the quality of food. I had high hopes but was truly disappointed. We didn’t even finish the sampler it was greasy and it didn’t taste good. The cook outside was a bit rude as well. Sorry but this was just a bad experience for the first time.
Wish I could give more stars based on my first experience! My mom is Brazilian so I was raised on certain foods such as pão de queijo and coxinha, so when I heard of this place being close by and not in Marietta I grabbed my keys immediately. The bartender who greeted me was unfortunately unfriendly even though it wasn't busy and seemed to just want me out. I checked the menu then ordered coxinha and the rio dog. The coxinha was delicious, the rio dogs mashed potatos threw me off with the texture. I will end this though saying the cook was very kind and was quick to ask if I needed any extra sauce, and I have a friend who visits the other location and says the live music is great so I look forward to trying again.
Loving spot in the Beacon @ Grant Park. The staff were amazingly nice and welcoming for our first time visit! The main building is a little coffee shoe slash bar. Full bar! There were some local beers on tap. Very vibrant inside. There had a decent "concert/entertainment space". Looking like 25 people could fit there comfortably. The food was prepped in their food truck parked out. Not a bad set up for a sunny day. Rainy day... might want to plan ahead, be advised. We had the "Turkey and Mozzarella Waffle with the Guava jelly". SO GOOD! Sweet and savory combo. And the "San Paulo Hot Dog". It had mashed potatoes, crispy mini-fries, and corn on top. Not my favorite, but it was fun to try new things. And we couldn't go to a Brazilian restaurant without getting a Caipirinha. AMAZING! One was traditional and one was Passion fruit. (Pictured below) SO TASTY! Future visit, I'll try the "Two Shades of Grey".
My latte was great, but the music was obscenely loud. It was good but just too loud. I couldn't even converse with the barista. Would definitely visit again but wouldn't hangout if the music was that loud.
Great space and great offerings!
Great music (DJ) and vibe outside. My crispy chicken salad was really crunchy and I love a good crunchy salad. Our dog was with us and the staff and other guests were really lovely about it all.
