Had a great dinner at Bone Garden Cantina. Authentic, fresh tasting food and extremely reasonable prices. We didn’t wait at all for an outside table on a Friday night either and food came out super fast. Inside decor is really cool but they blast the AC in there!We started with a pitcher of house margaritas which were delish and strong. Our guacamole app was veryyy small portion wise but the fresh tortilla tips were amazing! We sampled lots of menu items including cheese quesadilla with jalapeños, rice and beans, shrimp taco, cauliflower taco, and fried yuca. The shrimp taco was special and the rice and beans was well seasoned but very salty. I didn’t love the cauliflower taco flavor combos personally. Our friends had vegetarian tamales and two enchiladas which they enjoyed and said portions were huge. We were very full and happy leaving and didn’t break the bank despite ordering a little of everything. I only wish there were more vegetarian options. Will be back!

Staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and they actually know how to make a simple, healthy, and delicious margarita…natural is definitely better! Cool Dia de los Muertos theme was a bonus!!

Update: 5/6/22 - Was here for dinner and tried a few other items such as their moles and tamales. As far as Mexican food goes this is really one of the best spots in the area. They also have a nice selection of tequilas & drinks.Original Review:Kinda a hidden gem. Very good al pastor tacos. Guacamole and chips where fresh and staff very friendly and attentive. The margarita with salt rim was well made as well.
It said authentic, however the food was less desirable. My party did not enjoy the food but the drinks were tasty. We left feeling hungry ? The environment and ambiance was nice. They also had some cool decor on the walls.
Excellent Mexican food. Excellent service. We were seated quickly and the staff was very friendly. The service was very fast. Our meals came out before we could even finish our appetizer. And there were so many good looking dishes on the menu that we didn't get to try. We'll definitely be going back.
The restaurant was amazing, and all the food was delicious. There was one worker JOSEF who was a complete superhero, simply-amazing! He did an OUTSTANDING job. People like him deserve a raise!! UPDATE: Received a call from the general manager, Steven. He was very courteous, apologized and said he was very sorry for the way we were treated, and refunded my money right away and sent me a gift card in the mail to make up for the way we were treated. --- I don't know if I will give Bone Garden a second chance, - I mean, I don't think they purposely put a bug in my food, but with this experience, I hope they pay more attention and make right by any necessary means, health-wise and management wise -- but I at least appreciate that he reached out to us and tried to remedy the situation somehow.COCKROACH IN MY FOOD!!!I've been going to this place for years, and never had a bad experience, but today was the exception. Today, my husband and I, invited my son and a coworker. We told them how great this place was, and their first impression was cool, but quickly went sideways. Our server was a young girl, who was nice and courteous, but her clothes was FULL OF CAT or DOG HAIR. We somehow surpassed that and ordered our food.All was good and great, until I saw a HUGE COCKROACH in my enchiladas. -- FRIED AND EVERYTHING! – MEANING, THIS ROACH MARINATED WITH MY FOOD!!! YUCK!!!! Everyone in my table was disgusted and immediately stopped eating their food. – my son had already finished his food, but of course felt disgusted at the thought of the possibility of a bug being in his food --I proceeded to ask for the manager and he came over, and simply said "yeah, you don't have to pay for that”, walked away and came back with our bill – minus my enchiladas -. We told him we shouldn’t have to pay for the other food, because we could not bear the thought of eating it after what we just saw. --- He said we had to pay -– we argued that we shouldn’t, because we could not bear eating anything anymore, but would pay for anything that we had already eaten – he argued and said we had to pay for everything (minus the enchiladas) or he would call the cops!! He was very rude and careless of our experience --- After a brief exchange back and forth and him threatening to call the cops I went ahead and paid because my time is not worth waiting for the cops and explaining the situation. My time is more valuable than that. I don’t expect free food and am very capable of paying, but I own a business and if my client doesn’t have a pleasant experience, I try to remedy that. This manager gave me “I just work here” vives, and he didn’t care at all. --- so, with that said, I hope the owner sees this review, and if not, well, at least I warned others of what can be encountered while visiting this establishment. ----- - wish I had taken a photo to attach, but he quickly took my plate, like he's done this before.
