Great atmosphere and super well priced drinks!

So, I rarely leave reviews for places rather good or bad experiences but I have to say something about this. I also do not get offended easily and usually brush things off but I’m hoping they will see this and fix/address the problem. I have been coming to Blakes for years and I’ve always had a good time. I haven’t been in awhile so I’m not sure how new the bouncer guy with glasses at the front door checking ids is to the staff. I do drag and I’m non binary. I was in drag last night and showed him my ID. Of course I look like a cis man on my ID. I was very sweet to him and smiled. Well he looked at my ID and then proceeded to call me dude and he. Then kept calling me he to the people behind me. It felt like he was doing it on purpose. I’m not a big pronoun person myself but a lot of non binary, cds, drag queens and trans people are. If you’re going to work the front door of a gay club in Atlanta, learn your pronouns and have some respect. It was very odd and off putting. You had no idea who I was or how identify. I was clearly dressed up and I am pretty fishy at that. I didn’t say anything to him but somebody might! So yeah, tall guy with glasses checking IDs at front door needs to be educated if you’re going to work at a gay bar. With that being said, bar tenders and security are always so nice and friendly, they use the right pronouns and make me feel welcome. Thank you.

Blake’s was the only gay bar we came to but apparently you cannot whistle. My fiancé were having fun, he whistled I think at me dancing or the song that came on not sure. It was a bit odd that the bartender who told him to stop was kinda aggressive about it. It’s like he was violating some law. Made no sense. Place has great music, great drinks, great DJs. We were just having fun in our group, kinda killed the vibe. And it’s not he was whistling the night away, it was like less than five seconds. Still confused about it. But we won’t let that one guy, kill our love for Blake’s.

Staff was nice, drinks were strong, Security was constantly making themselves seen, felt like a safe bar. Very crowded, Dj could be better - genres kept changing each song and it was hard to keep up - didnt know if i was going to twerk or bachata next. We went on a Saturday. There is parking onsite or a parking garage across the street.

Blake's is an in-person form of Grindr. Drinks are cheap and strong though!

This is literally the best place on earth and I will be coming here every weekend until I’m 60. Everyone who works here is so kind and nice, and the crowd is amazing. I have never felt more welcomed at a club/bar. Even though this bar is filled with men, there’s no room for toxic masculinity here. Best place on earth better than Disney World.

You think the drinks are aggressive?? Wait until you meet security. Tread lightly if you tend to bump into other people while at a crowded gay bar on a Friday - you and your friends may turn into punching bags! I also hope you have thick skin, because you’ll probably get insulted while you’re trying to unhinge the grip of Larry the lobster from your arm. Per protocol, your friends who don’t get aggressively thrown out will then have to listen and sympathize with said guard who claims that “he started it!” While I know the girls will keep showing up to this insufferable place every weekend, it comforts me to know that very few people at this bar are actually having fun xx.

keneth keneth keneth!! That kid works hard I've litterally never drank at a bar where every time I lay my arm down on the bar it doesn't stick... well done kid!!!

Atmosphere is awesome!! I went Tuesday and music, people are very fun and nice !!The drink is so cheap but feel like bartender is deciding the drink price. First floor was $5 but second floor was $10. I still don’t get why price changed. Also there was no food, so little disappointed.
