Billed as Atlanta's Oysterette Bar, it doesn't disappoint! We made a reservation for dinner with friends (reservation definitely recommended). We tried to reserve through Open Table, but the times available weren't very good so we called the restaurant directly and got the time we wanted. We sat outside, although the downstairs is a really cool 70's vibe atmosphere which looked very fun. It's a bit on the pricy side, but not outlandish by Atlanta standards and it was excellent so the $$ was worth it. The drinks are inventive and tasty! I had the Salty Dog...loved it! The staff was great. Our waiter (Ethan I think) could not have been more fun and accommodating. I had oysters to start and they were fresh and delicious. Friends ordered the boch choy app and it was very tasty. I had the fish and chips...at first glance I was a bit disappointed because it didn't look like that large of a serving. But underneath those fries was a boatload of fish! I wouldn't call it a traditional fish and chips but it was delicious. I would definitely go back...and might even go on this trip!
The food and service were great. Definitely good vibes but I wish there were some more vegetarian options. I had the kale salad and it was delicious and tender but I usually like to pair a salad with a starch/grain or bean.
Our last dinner in the ATL with best friends and family before our long awaited vacation to Alaska. It was brilliant! Cheers!
The service started off poorly b it after talking with the hostess she helped get things back on track. The big disappointment was the mussels. The sauce was great but the mussels were so over steamed that most of the mussel was melted to the side of the clam. The fries were amazing. We worked with the waitress and bartender to find a good rec on a bottle of wine that was fantastic. The ambiance is great. Iâd try it again and hope this experience was an off night for all parties.
Always our go to for oysters and seafood! Service always good; food excellent.
We had a wonderful dinner at Beetlecat. Our waitress was so kind and thoughtful with our party's allergies. The food was delicious. Overall, a wonderful experience!
We are here from out of town visiting friends and weâre looking up restaurants and came across Beetlecat. The menu looked yummy and we had to try! Did not disappointed, we loved the baked oysters, Fry Bread, fish and chips and lobster roll! Might have to come back before we leave! Our waitress was friendly and so knowledgeable about the food and gave great recommendations!
My party of 3 had a brunch reservation for 12:30. We were seated and began service, although 1 party member was running a little late. Upon her arrival we began to order. The server returned to our table 3 times to inform us, "we are out of shrimp, we are out of avocado, we are out of the featured donut for brunch". This was very disappointing especially because one of my party members for an out of town guest. The manager didn't really offer any other options other than blaming it on being short staffed! I will be canceling a reservation I have for a birthday celebration later in the month. I will not return.
Would have loved to have oysters for brunch ;(
A must visit when in Atlanta. Food and service was amazing.
