Had the veal meatloaf wirh salad and string beans and desert with cappuccino!! my first-time at this establishment! Very clean and the ambience is wonderful!! Great staff!!!
Alon's Bakery and Market is serving up European-style, handcrafted baked goods and foods and has the quaintest of markets. They are known for using fresh ingredients, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and fine chocolates. I truly felt like I was in a European market. Some of the goodies offered are baked bread, cakes, pastries, cookies, cheeses, lunch, and brunch. I will be back to try the Challah and lunch options. I visited the Buckhead location, located in Phipps Plaza, for brunch. I highly recommend Alon's Bakery and Market for a lovely weekend brunch, especially with friends or loved ones. Here is what I tried at Alon's Bakery and Market.A twice-baked Croissant that was soft, flaky, and a must-try. French Toast of custard soaked Alon's brioche served with red berry compote. All American breakfast with two cage-free eggs scrambled with cheese and whole-wheat toast. Smoked turkey avocado and cheddar cheese omelet. Both entrees were served with cheddar Logan Turnpike Mill grits. I also had the Moroccan lamb sausage which was extremely delicious. I ended my visit with a caramel cappuccino, vanilla espresso, and freshly baked chocolate pecan miniature cookies.
The food is amazing but the staff is extremely rude, unhelpful and non cooperative.I ordered french toast from the brunch menu which very clearly says it comes with the berry compote when I asked the server where the berry compote was she said the menu is wrong! Like seriously? How dumb do you think I am.My husband ordered shakshuka with the lamb sausage even paid $3.49 extra for the sausage but there was no sausage when he went to ask for it they kept saying oh it’s coming its coming it never came!We asked the servers to clean our table so that we could have space or let us know where to put the dishes but nobody came. The manager just kept walking here and there. The bakery items are amazing but the guy behind the counter said we cannot heat them. Seriously? You literally are a bakery! The bakery and desserts are good. The brunch is terrible but probably not gonna visit them again because their staff is awful! Just because you are at a prime location doesn’t give you the right to treat your customers like ****
Nice shop with a good variety of food options. The horseshoe design of the ordering counters makes it tough to navigate when crowded but after that, ample seating. I ordered the steak and eggs special for Sunday brunch and it was good. Well cooked meat, good quality and good portioning for me. I also had a cappuccino and a chocolate croissant, both delicious. A bit pricey maybe but I was told it was normal for this area of Atlanta. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Alon’s Bakery and Market is one of those few gems in Atlanta with friendly faces, fast service, great coffee (I’m partial to Dancing Goats coffee with Alon’s serves)… and they have some of the best croissants and pastries (not doughnuts) in the city. The Dunwoody location frequently has a lot of European expats hanging out, making it feel truly like a European bistro. This location at Phipps caters a little more to the typical American but it still has a neighborhood market feel to it and doesn’t rush you to finish your conversation.I highly recommend an espresso drink paired with their twice-baked almond croissant. Cheers!
Highly recommend Alon's. Great café mocha and pastries. Staff was very friendly. Always a great place to check out. Tea selection is enormous
Staff is so friendly and helpful. And they have the best grits I’ve ever had in my life…and I’ve been eating grits for 40 years!
Great spot for lunch, coffee, pastries, etc. The staff was incredibly friendly when I went - I think every single person said hi to me and had a smile on their face. The quality of the food and coffee is great, like you’d expect of any Alon’s location. I found the interior very pleasant and well designed. Certainly larger and more modern than the other locations, but with a good amount of charm nonetheless. Highly recommend.
Amazing dessert. The best. Glad to have a location closer to home. Perfect place to grab a coffee or a drink and a bite and end with a delicious dessert.
Love the new place! Came here with the family after church and enjoyed it!
