I was excited to try this new local restaurant as I love authentic pizza. I ordered the margherita pizza and I was very disappointed with what I received. I brought it to the staffs attention that the entire bottom of the pizza was burnt and they stated a little charring is part of the way they cook the pizza. Unfortunately, it was way too much charring and the pizza was inedible.
Wow! Wonderful night out all due to the knowledge and personality of Kyle! Sure the food was good. I expected it to be! However, as an Athenian, we all know that we go back to the restaurant where people are nice, caring, personable, and efficient at their craft. Cannot wait to go and try the pizza! Pumped.
Definitely one of the best restaurants in Athens, if not the best.Likes every dish we ordered. Also the drinks. Did not try the pizzas on this visit, which was also highly recommended.
First time visit for our anniversary. Beautiful covered outside seating upstairs. Thunderstorm came through and was so nice to watch. We had the Suppli Classici (croquettes), spicy sausage pizza, chicken parm and lemon tart. Everything was delicious and Isabella provided wonderful service! We will be back.

We really liked this place! The restaurant is very nice and felt cozy. I would recommend trying to get a reservation in advance. The food was quite good as well. The focaccia was really good (the whipped ricotta is delightful). The Bolognese was awesome and the grilled steak was cooked really well and seasoned perfectly. Would definitely recommend and will be going back sometime soon! And also the chocolate torte was amazing! Definitely get that if they have it!
Great vibe and people. I also think the food is very good but I caught them on a bad day today (3/30). Everything was over salted. Had to send the pizza back. Bar even got backed up and I waited 20 mins on my second Negroni and then just cancelled if. But I still give them another shot soon!
Amazing service and so good!! I stumbled upon this place during my last trip to Athens and fell in love! My server, Anna, was so helpful. She suggested drinks and foods I would never thought to order and they were incredible!! I highly recommend trying this place if you haven’t already!
ZZ&Simone’s is wholly unique to Athens and you just won’t find this quality of Italian food anywhere else. The phrase you’re looking for is “you get what you pay for.” Perfect for date night or when parents are in town. Safe for picky eats. Excellent vibes.
