Great local pub. Outside of the downtown rush, but has a lot of individuality. "Karen" parking, shi**y tipper board, cool pub decor and signage plus 24 beers on tap, friendly staff and great food.Beer selection was interesting and had some novel choices.I'm trying to think of something to not like...maybe red and black decor?!? Well in Athens GA, that fits!Food is really good and a nice mix of standard pub fare and good alternatives. Fish and chips were great, but ahi tuna sandwich is excellent. Shrimp tacos looked good.Gets a bit crowded on weekends but I think that is an endorsement.My service was excellent, Thanks Dallas!Parking lot is a bit tight but there is room. Small outdoor dining area, but it is 97 degrees...no way!This spot is certainly worth a try.
We were served quickly and enjoyed our meal. The flank steak and fries were delicious. This was a good pick for a quick but yummy meal.
If you don't know about the Gastropub scene, it's all about good food, TASTY craft beer and a relaxed, casual atmosphere to chill. Catch 22 has it all in spades! And while it may not have the largest seating capacity, that's the whole point. If you want an assembly line for the consumption of mass quantities, there are several franchises out there that check that box. But if you want a relaxed environment for great conversations with a friendly and reliable staff, Catch 22 is for you!

Our first time here. The medium well burger we ordered nearly got off the table to go back to the pasture and graze some more. It more raw than cooked. We didn’t even eat more than a bite each. The waitress agreed it was undercooked and never said anything more about it. The jalapeño poppers were not spicy at all. The nachos were very good though. Asked for Splenda and never got it. Waitress was unsure of how some of the food was cooked or what was in it. This was 03/05/2022 about 7pm.
Love this place. Awesome food and great staff. I get something different every time and it’s always delicious. Best potato salad I know of. Highly recommended…even for Karen since she has her own parking spot ?. Remember to always tip your bartender and servers well. Enjoy!
The food here is AMAZING!! You really cannot go wrong with anything here. However, if you're thinking about getting an appetizer, I highly recommend the brussel sprouts. They're cooked to perfection with some bacon and they're probably my favorite item on the entire menu. The service is great too. My server was very familiar with the drink menu and gave great beer recommendations. If you need a good meal to fill you up, then definitely stop by Catch 22
I had a great experience at The Catch 22 Gastropub! Being Cuban myself I had to try their Cuban sandwich, and let me just say it was really good! Great flavors and textures, not too greasy on the pork which I like. The fries were good as well. The staff was super friendly and attentive. And the place was cozy and clean! If you’re passing thru Athens and you need a quick bite and good drinks you should definitely try them out!
