Thank you LaPa for an awesome experience! Our son’s graduation was awesome because of your efforts. We were happy to serve as the first customers for the inaugural ‘LaPa On Wheels’ food truck. The food and service were fantastic as always. Smiles all the way around from your team members and our guests. The music was perfect and preferred by the guests (even though you allow customers to pick their own). We really hope everyone continues to support La Parrilla at all 3 locations (Athens West, Athens East and Watkinsville) so this food truck will take off, even if just for parties.
I do not recommend this restaurant it is not authentic Mexican food being from Texas A tiny food truck from back home tastes five times better than this even the worst restaurant back home still taste better than this
Food is always great but good luck trying to get a booth, waitresses always try to place couples at large tables even when booths are available. Was planning on dining in tonight until we were seated in a half booth between two large groups of people. No thanks.
Poor service. I showed up at 9:40 PM after getting off with work late. 20 minutes before their posted closing time. I asked if I could place an order to go. The hostess thought about it for a second and said sorry no. We just closed. Ok then. I suggest taking down your hours of operation as it doesn’t mean anything. I’ve worked in restaurant business for years and I accepted orders all the way to the posted closing time. Sorry to inconvenience your team during their close.
We ordered from the Jeffferson La Parilla tonight to be ready at 5:15. It was absolutely excellent! Everything was ready right when I arrived at 5:13 and packaged perfectly so that the hot and cold items were separate. The soup was hot and full of chicken (their soup is amazing!) and all of our appetizers--ceviche, salsa, and chunky guacamole were served with plenty of chips and freshly made. I absolutely love La Parilla for their service and their excellent food. It's our favorite Mexican in Athens and I encourage you to give them a try even if it's just for carry out!
The people who work here are friendly, patient, and always get our order right! I also like that the menu preemptively states the rice and beans are vegetarian ? happy to have La Parrilla in our neighborhood
