¡I love this place! I visit Taqueria La Perilla at least twice a month ... Being from South Texas originally I am always skeptical about any South-of-the-Border Tex-Mex cuisine EAST or NORTH of TEXAS. The food & the staff are right on target, and with every bite, MEMORIES of days gone by ...¡ANTE LA DUDA, MAS TEQUILA!VAYA CON DIOS AMIGOS ???????
The enchiladas were dry, cheese not melted in quesadilla, and the black beans were soupy. It seemed as though the dishes were not prepared by a trained cook.
This place is great!: service was good and food was good. They have a niceHad a vegetable stuffed roasted poblanoAd tamale with rice and beans so plenty to take some home.
Good food, good service, place was packed & still didn't wait long for seating or food. Definitely recommend.
Called order in 25 minutes before I arrived. I was told they were packing my order when I was paying and it still took me asking them 25 minutes later where my order was. They kept saying that they were packing it up. When my order FINALLY came out my 3 drinks were in one carrier. They could have given me 2 carriers. I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND places being short handed but it doesn't take 25 minutes to pack up food. The staff was VERY RUDE. Also, have found bones in my chicken.
Food was excellent as always, and so was the service. It's never a disappointing meal when we eat here, no matter if it's eating in or taking it home!
I absolutely love this place. The steak is so juicy and tasty. The service was amazing. The cocktails are delicious(You can actually taste the alcohol). The only thing I wish was different is that I wish the add shrimp as another protein especially for Fajitas
This is easily the best Mexican place in 50 miles of Athens. I’ve been here multiple times at all different times of day and the service is consistently phenomenal. Kevin, specifically, has been my server several times and he is fantastic. My food always comes out very fast, always hot, and ALWAYS delicious. The margaritas are top notch and they’re better with each visit. I am now a fervent La Parrilla fan. Go dawgs.
Ordered takeout and was very unimpressed. Will not try again. Chips that came with the salsa were inedible (completely stale). My order was also supposed to include tortillas which were completely left out. Ended up eating just pieces of grilled chicken with spices that I could of prepared at home for 4$.
Enjoyed the food. The chili rellenos was very good. The chili was roasted and tender with no seeds. The service was slow but they were busy.
