Food was great. We visited the restaurant in Athens off Tallassee Rd where Transmetropolitan used to be. We got there early, around 5pm and there was only 1 waiter. My kids wanted to eat in the terrace (to be honest, that was the reason they wanted to try the restaurant). The waiter (a very professional guy from Venezuela) asked us if we could wait 20-30 min until other waiters showed up. After 20 min, he moved us upstairs. Good food, good service. We will be back! Thanks

The food & the service is amazing!!

The food was authentic and so flavorful. You can tell they take their time marinating and seasoning. The staff is also very nice and attentive. I would highly recommend!

Have come here a few times. Compelled to leave a review because I’ve figured out the restaurant.Everything is good, but the fajitas are the way to dine in. Do yourself a favor. It was extraordinary. And if you’re down at Oglethorpe Garage, grab some takeout. The burritos are cheap and never disappoint.

Truly a disappointment in the overall experience with our 1st and last trip to this restaurant. The service was horrible and slow. The only excuse we were given is "sorry we're short staffed." Our fried fish tacos and steaming sizzling fajita plate arrived over 15 minutes before the tortillas for them ever showed up. By then all the food was cold before we could attempt to eat the cold and mostly veggies with little chicken, shrimp, and steak fajitas. We also had to eat our entire meal without a second beer or any water to speak of. The other server covering the patio was quick to respond to needs of his tables. It wasn't worth the trip. Will not return for a 2nd time.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. The food is flavorful, fresh and served with generous portions. The menu is bright, colorful and full of Mexican favorites and other influences from Central and South America.I plan to return again soon based on our experience tonight. The staff was warm, pleasant and extremely helpful. The Owner spoke with us for a moment and he is a friendly and honest businessman who is growing his business. Please try this restaurant, you will be very pleased that you did.

I really wanted to like it being my first time there. I ordered no onion, no cheese, no jalapeño on my torta. It had onion and cheese. I said nothing proceeded to eat, it was pretty good. I was enjoying my torta until halfway through my half torta I spot a hair in the melted cheese. Well that ended my meal.Needless to say I was disappointed. We paid and left. Not fond of any foreign objects in my food.

This restaurant opened during Covid and has really struggled, first with slower traffic, now all the supply chain issues, labor shortages, and inflation. Athens, you should be eating here not just out of solidaridad but because it's one of the best options for Mexican food in town.I ate here the first time shortly after it opened and I was impressed. The enchilada sauce was legit, rich and homemade. Enchiladas are all about the sauce, but it's hard to find places here that put extra thought into that. The poblano queso similarly impressed. It wasn't just a few meager slices of poblano floating in the ubiquitous insipid white cheese scourge that afflicts Georgia. The poblanos were liberally portioned and well seasoned and grilled; the queso was creamy and flavorful and didn't dribble off the chip like flavorless nonfat milk. The sopes were spongy and light, very well made. And topped with what essentially was a full salad. A weird choice to dust the top with parmesan instead of cotija (or queso fresco but I guess the cotija is what they're going for). Especially since it was like the kind of sawdust that comes in a green tube, not actual Parmesan. A small detail, didn't really hurt the overall dish which was really quite good. They should offer some vegetarian sopes, and in fact the entire vegetarian menu could be improved with a little creativity. The margaritas are pretty good, not sickly sweet, decent prices as well. You can have it made with fresh citrus, so right off the bat you know you'll be okay. The bar is very cool, lots of seating and high tops as well, plus comfortable chairs. The restaurant space has a cool aesthetic. The servers are friendly and helpful. The owners are Uruguayan (with many years of experience in Mexican cuisine) and have snuck some delicious, authentic empanadas onto the menu. In fact it left me wondering why they don't offer more Uruguayan fare, and not just the heaping piles of grilled meat typical of the region, but the country's unique take on pizza, the pastas, farinata/faina, and desserts. I can't say it's a five-star place, both times I've gone the orders have had errors and one plate was served with unmelted cheese grates twisting on top begging for a few seconds in a broiler. How did that leave the kitchen and make it to the table? Parking is an issue too.But when there is a mistake, they make it right. And the food is definitely among the best Mexican restaurants in Athens. Recommend!

Excellent food and service! Everything made fresh! A must try for all in Athens. Roof dining weather permitting. Everything we ordered was delicious and exceptional! Consider this restaurant as a way to help an excellent, local, small business.

Overall the food tasted great. The atmosphere was decent as well. There is plenty of seating in the inside and kitchen was visible in open view. Parking is limited especially during busy times. Our table was dirty and not wiped in between customers. Also be aware that the prices they charge do not match the stated price on their menu. I questioned them why they were charging more than what was stated on their menu and they did not correct the charge. For this reason, I will not be going back and do not recommend to others for deceptive advertising.
