This place has phenomenal food. The ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and mac and cheese were on point. This is, by far, the best BBQ I've ever had. The service was great. The food came out fast and it was a great experience!
Ah barbecue. We are all truly blessed to live in a region where this culinary sorcery is performed. When well executed there is no greater expression of love for your fellow man. Pulaski Heights achieves this level of greatness. The meat is tender and flavorful. The facilities comfortable and clean. The staff friendly and knowledgeable. My visit on 6/7/22 will be the first of many.
Great atmosphere, great staff and even better food! The meats and sauces are good but you must have the collards!

My husband and I had heard about Pulaski Heights and after lunch one day went to check it out. It's in a lovingly renovated factory called the Leathers Building and Pulaski Heights is on the end on the right as you enter the parking lot, It's a beautiful location that is semi rural and located next to a railroad track. The building is filled with studios and offices and this singular BBQ restaurant. We walked in and found its dinning area a little smaller than we'd seen online but quirky fun. Asked about checking out the mezzanine and the hostess at the counter said it was closed and used for storage now. Downstairs had about 8 tables for two by the window. However, outside had 3 - 4 iron tables and chairs and some wooden picnic tables. We weren't planning on eating but decided to get ribs to go. However my husband was hungry and ordered a mac and cheese which was incredible! We decided to get an order of ribs to go for dinner and took them home. Best ribs we've had in the South! Very tender and really good smokey flavor! Also got deviled eggs to go and loved them! Read reviews from people that didn't like them because they had too much mustard. I liked them but I like mustard and would agree that they could pull back on the mustard so the flavor of the egg yoke might come through a little more. Also met the owner who was very friendly. Told us about the smoking process that goes all night long for the pork and beef and smoked chicken and cauliflower are smoked during the day. Hoping to go back with friends and have dinner soon! Loved the place!
Loved the atmosphere, disenchanted with the food. This was a cool environment to hang out and enjoy the company of others but I do not understand the hype with the food.Our table came with four homemade sauces. All of them were unique, in a not so great way. While I'm sure some people like their sauces, we didn't care for any of them and noticed the lack of a normal/mainstream style BBQ sauce. This wouldn't be a huge deal, but the point of getting meat at a place like this is to have stellar sauce to put on it.The baked beans were fine. The mac & cheese was grainy. The coleslaw had a distinct olive oil taste (which isn't a bad thing, just not what I'd expect from coleslaw).I may or may not come back here to give it a second chance because this visit did not sell me on this place what-so-ever.
To begin, I have eaten a lot of BBQ over the years. I have some perspective on what I consider to be tasty. Have eaten at Pulaski Heights several times. Hoping the next time it would be better, but no. The pork is decent, but the last time we went they were out. Eaten the chicken and brisket, and they have been dry. Sauces are only OK. The sides range from OK to bad. Baked beans are so salty they are not edible. Mac and cheese is some weird version they’ve created that isn’t very good. Green chili was ehhh. Same with the slaw. As for ownership - they elected to challenge comments made by my spouse in a different forum and got snippy about it. Not very professional. No plans to return to Pulaski Heights based on our experiences. Plenty of other BBQ choices in the Athens area.

Ten star service, two star food. The mac and cheese was great, everything else was just ok. The pulled pork was wet like it came out of a crock pot, the baked beans were just beans floating around in some sauce and the Cole slaw was REALLY bad. I really had high Hope's for this place but it was not very good.
