This was a great little hideaway for my wife and I on date night. It wasn't too busy and the ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner with delicious food, great drinks, and perfect service. The chicken marsala was so good! Also, i recommend starting with a Negroni as they make them spot on. We will definitely be back for a date night again soon!
Osteria Athena has become my "go to" spot in Athens. First off, the food is outstanding. The lasagna, pistachio crusted salmon and the pasta dishes are family favorites.Second, they do take reservations, which I'm a fan of doing. When I'm planning a nice dinner or date with my wife, I want to sit down and eat on my schedule. The staff is wonderful to take care of us. In fact, I've now hosted several large business dinners at Osteria Athena, even renting the whole place. It makes quite an impression on clients.This leads me to their awesome staff. It starts at the top with Drew, the owner. He's accommodated every request I've ever made and is a pleasure to speak with as he visits the table. Annie, our server, is top notch, and she knows her wine.I just can't say enough about how good Osteria Athena is!
Wonderful dinner with great Italian dishes. We couldn't resist the crab cakes and meatballs. Everything was delicious. We definitely will be back again!

My wife and I had dinner this week and had the pleasure of having a terrific Italian meal in Athens. We are from NY and the hospitality shown by the owner Drew was above and beyond our expectations. The food is just spectacular and the drinks were fantastic! Anna our server was a gem! She took care of us and was always smiling. Can’t wait to go back in August!
We were travelling to Athens for golf and wanted a nice Italian dinner. Osteria Athena fit the bill perfectly! There were 4 of us, and each had a different dish. All were very well done and tasted great. The atmosphere was what one would expect, and the service was simply outstanding. We loved the homemade bread, homemade pasta, and the superb Caesar salad dressing. If you're in town, give it a try! You won't be disappointed.
Hard working staff. All the food is delicious, my favorite is the mushroom bruschetta and casseracci. Have very unique specials, you have to try the crab cakes.They make a great “osteria Athena”.Owner is super attentive and greets you.Was here on graduation day and staff seemed very attentive with the busy restaurant.Favorite hidden gem. Also the tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had!!!!
Came for my brothers graduation we called a month in advanced for a reservation and they said they don’t take reservations. So then when we come in they asked if we had reservations and obviously the answer was no. They sat us anyways but the server seemed so annoyed with us and we ordered a bottle of wine then an appetizer then our dinner. We got our dinner before we even got the complimentary bread and never got our drinks. I truly believe the manager told the server to help get us out asap because we did not have a reservation but we tried to get one a month in advanced. The food was also very bland the meat was not seasoned on my brothers dish it sort of tasted like they got Kroger marinara and put some heavy cream into it. I normally don’t complain about food but the service was just so terrible and we felt so singled out it was a terrible experience.
Great restaurant! My wife & I weren’t sure where to go. I Googled “Best Restaurants in Athens, Ga”. Frankly, I had to scholl through 3-4 pages and Ossetian Athena finally came up … we’ll worth the wait! My wife & I had a great over appetizer, Mushroom Bruschetta, Caesar Salads & Salmone Al Pistacchio including an Italian Blend … simply outstanding! On top of all this, Drew, the owner, was a GREAT HOST! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Couldn’t ask for more.
