Yikes, some real crazies work here ,especially behind the bar and in mgmt. More interested in stalking their customers than doing their jobs. I thought "people people" got into this industry, especially in a college town, not a bunch of psychopaths. We've been here a few times recently and their is definitely some shady activity going on. Stay away1 Several other fantastic options in Athens than this far right sh!thole.
I've been to several Mellow Mushroom locations before now, but really liked the look, atmosphere and overall location of this one. It's located right in the heart of Downtown Athens and has a tall and open feel. The servers were very attentive and friendly and were quick on orders. As a side note, I ordered a LIl Greek and forgot how big those were because I was practically full by the time my pizza came out! Great place to stop for a drink and meal when in Athens.
Walked into a virtually empty restaurant. They said we would need to wait 15 minutes because they don’t have enough servers. There were approximately 12 employees walking around throughout the store, fixing TVs, playing on their phones, etc. Sad. Go to DePalmas around the corner. They’re always welcoming and friendly.
Rude staff, refused to let us eat when we showed up after a long day of travel at 9:30. Web says they close at 10 and there were lots of people dining still. If nothing else they could at least post their actual hours on the web so that people could go somewhere else and avoid paying to park just to be turned away.
standard mellow mushroom the staff was friendly. we had to get a pizza to-go because we had our dogs with us and it was pretty good I do like mellow mushroom pizzas so its hard to beat the go to classics.
Never had worse service in my entire life. The food is subpar which can typically be looked past with good service but you will not get this here. Expect to track down your server yourself because they will absolutely leave you there for 25 minutes without checking in. Do not come to eat here you will regret the money spent.
This place is amazing!! Food was delicious and I’m vegan so I wasn’t expecting much. Whatever vegan cheese they use it’s actually tasty!! Management really went the extra mile to ensure I was well taken care of when I had a minor mishap with my order.If I ever head back to Athens, I will for sure be stopping back at this place. Thank you all for your hard work and generosity!

I come here all the time and always have a great experience! I was moved to write a review because I placed a to-go order for a super bowl party and as you might imagine it was busy as can be, so I expected to wait a while for my order. They took it upon themselves to take 50% off my total to make up for the long wait. Totally unnecessary and so nice!
If you have time to kill, stop on by!45 min wait to sit down. Then they after you sit down they tell you 40 min at least just to get your pizza.... Would of been nice to know about the wait before waiting to even be seated.Good pizza!
