This is one of my favorite restaurants in town. Every new dish I try here becomes my new favorite there. Terrific value, service, and setting. Give this spot a shot if you haven't.

Everything was flavorless & tasteless. I spent over $20, including tip for a takeout disaster. I ordered lentil soup, rice, and a large Greek salad. I can cook food much better than what was served. Literally nothing had flavor to it. The soup almost made me vomit. The salad dressing only consists of olive oil and garlic.... no vinegar or anything. The pita wasn't grilled. The soup was a puree and I was given many forks but no spoon. The rice only had turmeric and paprika for color plus butter... no salt. I was surprised because the reviews are so good and I'm familiar with Greek food. The only positive thing I can say was that the food was hot and the people were friendly. I almost feel bad for leaving this review; however, I am a Google reviewer and must be honest.

Absolutely fantastic. Pay no mind to the recent one star review. That same person gave Moe’s Southwestern (a generic chain burrito restaurant) 5 stars ?. The food is authentic, the gyro meat is delicious, the salad and feta is always flavorful. Plentiful options of lamb, beef, vegetarian and everything in between. I highly suggest you visit this awesome restaurant as frequently as you can, because it’s a gem and I want to see them continue to prosper for many years. PS: their lunch specials are UNBELIEVABLY inexpensive for the amount and quality of food that you get. Best Mediterranean/middle eastern food in Athens, hands down.

Update May 2022: I made good on my promise and we came here for lunch on Mother's Day about 1pm. It was not busy at all, though there were people coming in and out for takeout orders. My review is-- why have you not eaten here yet!? The food is as good as it looks. It came out surprisingly quickly; we ordered 7 dishes and only 1 was a repeat. My only complaints are that the restaurant seemed a little bit unclean, like it just seemed kind of dingy, and the dolmas didn't have much flavor.I highly, HIGHLY recommend the kufta kabob, it is very flavorful, and the rice is delicious, hummus delicious, potatoes, delicious, all the other meats, delicious, salad, delicious, with big hunks of feta.If you like spanakopita but you are used to getting it from the grocery store, be aware that these are mostly spinach with a feta cheese flavor and they are not just a pile of creamy cheese with a bit of spinach in it like the ones from the store. The kids meals are 7.50 each, and they are definitely enough for two young kids to split. It an adult size portion of food, so it is worth the price. Honestly, even the entrees are enough for two adults to split if they both are not overeating or are not running a marathon or something.OP April 2022: Delicious. We had a meal catered by this restaurant and we will definitely be stopping in. The dressings and sauces were fresh, the meat was wonderful and smelled amazing while we were waiting to be served. Everything was great from the rice to hummus to the steak. One note, the kalamata olives had pits, so be aware. If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up! Thanks!

This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant is phenomenal! I always get the lamb gyro and baba ghanouj for dipping roasted potatoes. Food is consistently awesome ... order every other Friday night for the past six years. It's my Friday night comfort food with a movie.

food is awesome and service is amazing too!:) we come here all the time, and the shrimp platter is the best!!!!

Genuinely can't see how anyone would rate this place less than 5 stars. The food is excellent, the portions are huge, and it's very reasonably priced. All the staff were extremely friendly. The hummus and arabic coffee are a must!

I have eaten at Mediterranean Grill several times and the food has remained consistently good. Mediterranean Grill offers a daily lunch special or diners can choose other meal combinations. Vegetarian snd vegan options are available along with desserts and drinks. There is space to eat indoors and a couple of tables for outdoor dining are also provided. Park in the rear.

I drive 45 miles to eat here and take food home. The food is consistiently good. Sure they screw up orders now and then; what restaurant doesn't? This "Mediteranian" menu is delicious for the area, the portions are decent and the service has always been good. Thanks folks!

Was looking for halal food while visiting my daughter in Athens so was happy to find this place.I got a kebab platter and my daughter got the kebab sandwich...I was sorely disappointed, we waited about 20 or so minutes and the chicken had a bitter charred taste(grill/griddle obviously needed cleaned) and was dry. Rice was bland. I had this at the Decatur location and the chicken was moist and tasty and service overall was just better. I visit her once a week and we always go out to eat but I doubt I'll be back to this location
