Great pizza. Not like the frozen guys concoction. Wonderful old timey feels inside. Staff is super friendly and really great.
Was very happy with the selection on the Pizza Buffet ? ?Very reasonably priced, you definitely get you monies worth ??Stop in and try a slice ?

Got there at 8:25 thinking they closed at 9:30. Ordered the buffet. 4 old slightly burned slices and a tiny pile of something I assume had been a dessert pizza were all that was left. My server, nice kid, asked if I had any request. I asked for Buffalo chicken. They brought that out at 9 which is when I realized they were closing. As there were 5 other people there I took 3 slices and sat down. The other server than gave a leaving table a box which is where the other 3/4 of a pie went. Not wanting to keep them there past closing I paid for my "buffet" and left... for some reason paying $3 more than the people who walked out with the rest of the pizza I requested.
I had a sandwich from Mama Sid’s. The Italian Super. It was a pretty good sandwich. It was an amazing, it wasn’t unforgettable, But it was pretty good. I would probably go back again but I would definitely do take out. The restaurant overall was kind of dark and dingy and doesn’t look like it’s been updated in the last 10 or 15 years. I would 100% support this play simply because it’s a family owned business. When I was there the place was absolutely packed. That must say something about the place. I’ll go back and maybe try another sandwich and see if it doesn’t knock my socks off!!
Great pizza buffet!!!!! I can’t imagine their other menu items would be bad. Same price as Cicis or Stevie Bs but the quality is outstanding!!!! I wish I lived closer! I’ll be back for lunch whenever I’m in the area.
I have been a fan of Mama Sid's since 2006. The service and food are consistently excellent. We always dine in, except for two days ago when I ordered a pizza to pick up. Pictured here are slices of a delicious double cheese pizza.
Waited for over an hour to get it, twenty five minutes after I’d gotten there to pick up. Two old women sitting in the corner who worked there, talking and doing nothing. They kept looking at me, I think they felt me judging their laziness. Rather than getting up to ask what I was waiting for, they kept bothering the kids who were actually working to ask them what I was waiting for. Finally got my order and shocker, it was wrong.
Was looking for a great local pizza place to get a to-go order for my friends who were moving into a new home. I didn't want you typical chain pizza, so this sounded like a great choice. The Mama's Special pizza was extraordinarily delicious. Wonderful crust and sauce. Reasonably priced as well. If you're in the Athens area and have a craving for pizza, it's definitely worthwhile stopping by. Apparently they've been in the area for around 25 years and are still going strong.
Tonight was my 1st time ordering pizza from this establishment and I have to say...MY GOODNESS!! This is by far the best pizza in Athens I've had in a long time. Great price for the large pizza and drink, the delivery was quick and the pizza was fresh and steaming hot. Mama Sid's Pizza you now have regular customer.
