My new go to for my shrimp craving fix. The grilled shrimp plate is a recent addition to the menu, and it is wonderful! Large shrimp, large portion, not over cooked or dry. There's a yummy dipping sauce, but you don't need it, as they're grilled in a buttery seasoning. There's probably about 8 large shrimp, no skimpy little appetizer size portion, leaving one craving more. Consistently good the 3 times I've had the dish. Comes in fried also. I got broccoli and black beans. Their broccoli is less dry and blah since they've started putting a bit of butter or oil on it. The black beans are also more stepped up. A little tomato type sauce added, but not as decadent and sweet as baked beans, and tastes homemade. The oregano garlic bread is yummy, but makes us both burp. I eat it anyway, usually. Acoustics can be loud if people are there. Ask for a booth on the left side. Been going there for years. Service never a problem. They're college kids. Usually seem happy to have a job, and trying to please.
Always enjoy the wings & stuffed potatoes..The outside sitting area is a big plus since covid. Waitress was extremely nice & efficient.Just a nice casual place to eat with plenty of menu choices.Thanks Locos
Food was fantastic. Server was friendly and polite. Took us a little bit to get our check but we were not in any hurry, we were full from the delicious food!
Service was fast,like super fast. Our server was nice and helpful.We had 1/2 order of pickle chips which was really good. I'm a big fan of pickle chips but cannot stand the battered or over breaded ones. These were good!We also had the Cobb salad and a cheese burger that was a 1/2 lb! Both were delicious. We would stop by there again!
I went in on a Sunday, so they were understandably more busy than normal. The Bartender was the best part of my visit. Spectacular service from her. The food took about 35 minutes to arrive (takeout). Which is fine because I had the time. During this time however I saw about 5 employees touching their face, then handling food. Then you had a few taking about coworkers rather loudly… what got me was the girl in the red shirt and the baseball cap talking about another girl and the way she did something. It was unprofessional and unnecessary, especially when the place is slammed and your not helping your coworkers.The food was mediocre at best. I have food allergies, and I know that they can’t guarantee no cross contamination. I’ve never had a problem until today’s order. I should’ve known with it being that busy and seeing what I saw, that I would do better to go elsewhere. I wish I had because now I’m pretty sick. I know better next time. I know they’ve flipped some management around recently, but they really need to try again because I do not think that this is working out.
Waited about 45 minutes for a server to even come to the table. We sat outside amd server said she was told she had customers outside but didmt see us evej though sje walked in and out multiple times while we waited. Once she came the service was great and she was apologetic. Food was mediocre at best.
Love this place!!! The service has always been unmatched, David (aka sauce) is a remarkable waiter, he has never disappointed us! Always bright and chippy! Has an awesome knowledge of the menu and always great at recommending a suitable on tray!!! Great job

Not a single employee wears a mask.Locos used to be a family favorite, sadly not anymore. The prices increase (long before 2021) and the value/size of the food continues to decrease.DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY- wrong orders and missing items ALWAYS. I used to order it all the time, never again. The food always comes to the house soggy and cold. Also, there is a lot of plastic waste with to go orders.There are two long time employees that are amazing, JJ and Tyler. They’re the best. I won’t be eating there anymore, but if you ever have the pleasure of seeing JJ or Tyler, tip them well.
Wow wow wow. I am SO impressed with this place! My husband and I decided to dine here last minute and it was the best choice! We haven’t had a great experience in Athens dining, but this restaurant is now my favorite. Great and quick service and food was delicious! I had such a hard time choosing what to order bc everything sounded so good. My husband got the Fried Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich - it was delicious along with the Cajun fries and pickle. I ordered blackened teriyaki salmon with a loaded baked potato and side salad (that was a giant bowl of salad)! EVERYTHING was delicious and I can’t wait to go back and try their shrimp tacos and other items! This was the best experience we’ve had at any restaurant in Athens with food and service. Our server Dylan was great! Highly recommend! Also great prices for the portions!
