My boyfriend and I came last night for dinner and we had such a great experience. It was a Tuesday so I was hoping it wasn't going to be too busy but they said the wait was 45 min. The 45 min flew by because they have a really nice outdoor bar where you can wait until your table is ready. It was a nice evening and the outdoor bartender was very nice and made the drinks very well. We got seated inside at a rather small table for two. Our waitress was so friendly and I wish I could remember her name because she deserves a raise (she was tall with brown hair and glasses). She was very attentive, nice, and seemed like she enjoyed working there. Our food came out pretty fast and it was all very good and hot. The crab cakes for our appetizer was very yummy! I've been to Last Resort before but it's been years and last nights experience I will be coming back soon! I will say it is a bit on the pricy side but it is the perfect spot for a nice date night!!
Fantastic. Entrees were hard to choose from, but the filet with shrimp cake was phenomenal. Sitting by the outside bar while waiting on a table made the wait a pleasure.
My first time to Athens I stayed at the Hotel Indigo. Hotel staff anointed this place as the best restaurant in town. Almost a decade later, I can’t say they were wrong! Everything on the menu is delectable. It has a fine dining atmosphere without any of the class tension (including, but not limited to tiny portions, stupid prices, and dress codes) of typical fine dining restaurants. They have managed an up-scale but relaxed atmosphere with home cooked southern cuisine with world class culinary twists. Just a job well done.
Great service, awesome appetizers and entrees, and the white chocolate cheesecake is dangerously delicious.
First ate here almost 25 years ago and it has always exceeded expectations. Excellent menu with amazing service. Got the veggie stack on our last visit and it was one of the best dishes I’ve had anywhere (and I’m not even vegetarian).
Love this restaurant! My husband and I have to go every time we visit Athens. They do everything right! Food and service topnotch. Our friends took us tonight to celebrate our 40th anniversary and we had the best time. The manager Julie came over to congratulate us and our server Jeff was awesome. Dinner was delicious.
The system they have of not taking reservations and waiting list is poor. You can never get in the restaurant. Don't even try its not worth it.
Great food and fun atmosphere. We were outside in little individual greenhouses. (I think they remove them in warm weather). So fun and was great on a chilly evening. Good service and fair prices. Would return and/or recommend.
Always first class all the way round. One of our favorite places for lunch in Athens. Brunch is solid too!
Fun restaurant in downtown Athens. Sunday brunch here was excellent. Everything on the menu looked good. Our server tried to hurry us a little in the beginning, but once she realized that wasn't going to work, everything flowed smoothly.
