Hi-lo is an amazing and friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant (with a DELICIOUS French dip-my favorite:))Hi-lo is a safe space for all who share in the belief of showing kindness towards all others who reciprocate with kindness and acceptance.I am proud to frequent this establishment. The owners and the the staff are all around grade A folks!
LOVE this place!! Great variety of food, lots of vegan selections (all of which are DELICIOUS!) Best fries in town IMO. Staff are amazing & friendly; fast service every time… Delicious drink selection... Comfortable laid-back atmosphere... Def in my top 3 places to go out to eat in Athens… in fact, I need a t-shirt!
Hi-Lo is a fantastic locally-owned business & community space that’s welcoming to all members of the Athens community and all who visit the town. It’s a wonderful spot to gather with friends and neighbors. Delicious food, accessible options for folks with dietary needs, hard-working staff, and a great selection of drinks! Anyone who says otherwise about Hi-Lo shows little respect for the gems who make Athens a beautiful place to live :)
One of my absolute favorite places in Athens. The atmosphere is inviting and trivia night was one of my favorite past times. Happy hour drinks are my favorite, and the corndogs are a must try (batter made fresh). Great vegetarian and vegan options as well. Hi lo is a well-loved Athens classic.
Love everything about Hi-Lo. Fantastic menu, drinks, and atmosphere. They’ve always had a fun and, especially lately, dedicated staff. Over the last year they’ve been coming in early to serve Athens breakfast with just a couple of staff members. A fine example of a committed community member.
Awful experience they keep the smalls side of the deal and my beer was flat with a giant head on it! I spent $148.8 too! Mostly I have issues with the management and what they support and dont support. Garb. Dont go here cheers.
Love hanging out here! Greats atmosphere, lovely and friendly Athenians to meet, and located in a relaxed and trendy area. Would definitely recommend for happy hour or a fun weekend place to kick back and unwind with friends!

One of the best places in town for a lot of things. Notably a solid draft selection. The food options are delicious and it is always fun to be there. Nice selection of house cocktails, as well. A little something for everyone.
I am skeptical of leaving a good review because I would prefer Hi-Lo to be held a secret. But it’s no secret for anyone that goes, they provide great food/drink and even better atmosphere. I have eaten around the menu and haven’t met a dish to disappoint. A wide menu for any palette or diet, crowd favorites and personal recommendation tending to be the goat cheese grilled cheese with seasonal jam or Garlic Parmesan fries. Accompanied with every meal is a friendly staff and customers. Hi-Lo will provide one with a familiar experience time and time again. It will continue to be a weekday or weeknight go-to spot.
