We've been a long time customer. Actually, it's probably my father's favorite place. But tonight's Sunday dinner was a disaster. Our waitress was very sweet, but we felt she might have been new. Our plates kept piling up and not cleaned. Making it difficult between appetizers, salads, main course and dessert. We ordered broiled and Rockefeller oysters. The broiled ones were so overcooked there was no oyster left. If it hadn't been for the spinach, the Rockefeller would have been same way.The fried chicken came out with maybe two spoons of gravy on the whole plate. With it being slightly dry, made hard to eat.We also ordered low country boil that came out with zero shrimp in it. We did figure out they quickly cooked shrimp, but obviously they didn't have time to soak in that Cajun flavorThe salad was dirty and had old brown pieces in it.Luckily one of our favorites which is the gumbo was solid and good.I know times are tough right now, but hopefully Reggie will start dropping in on Sundays because I did see someone else complain a few Sundays ago with similar issues.

After having crawfish tail etouffee, crab bisque, and sampling oysters Rockefeller with Terrapin beer I will return to this location. Even with my wife driving, I went to sleep somewhere in that 38 miles to home.

We made a point to eat here for my birthday. I wanted oysters and they were rumored to have good ones. We ordered a fried crawfish app and oysters to start and the crawfish was so bland my husband wouldn’t eat it. The oysters were served on a small plate with no ice and weren’t very chilled. There was no saltines either. I ordered some crab bisque and a wedge for my meal and my husband ordered jambalaya. We randomly were served my husbands salad, then some time after my soup arrives and it’s cold and very bland. My salad never shows then his meal comes and it’s super bland, he said it tasted like it came from a box. I canceled my salad because it never showed and I didn’t want it with my cold soup. Service was not good either. Just a bad experience for a special night out.

My husband and I are brunch at George's last Sunday. The food was delicious! We've been there before but it's been quite a while - they were still in their previous location. The new building is spacious inside and has a nice patio but the atmosphere is a bit sterile/sparse. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, my husband had Eggs Benedict, and we were both very satisfied with the flavors, presentation and service.

The restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. I thought the food was only ok. We had oysters that were delivered on a plate without ice and were just below room temperature. My jambalaya was bland which was a little disappointing for a low country restaurant and a hamburger one of my friends had was raw throughout. Our server was pleasant but did nothing to even try to remedy the raw hamburger.

Well, I’ll tell you what- its reputation precedes it. Go here and spoil yourself a little. It’s certainly worth it!

Party of three. Two ordered eggplant pirogue, I had seared red fish with étouffée. All were excellent. Cheesy biscuits served first, nice side salads, and to-die for freshly shucked oysters. Wine by the glass was comparatively generous, about 7-8 ounces. They were busy with a couple of parties at 6 p.m. but service was acceptable and got us out at a pre-stated time to make a subsequent rngagement.

My wife and I went here for a birthday dinner date. Very nice layed back place. Great service, I believe our server's name was Taylor, she was very polite and cheerful and did a great job. Food was AMAZING, best bowl of crawfish etouffee I have had in a long time. The wife had oyster and a filet, which was cooked to perfection! I would highly recommend if you get a chance.

Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Athens area. They have amazing food. The best food ? They always make seating for you or have low wait times. A 4 or 5 star paying restaurant. Must try in Athens at least once. We will be there tonight again for my wife's Bday dinner. ?

They are lucky to get one star. Let me first say, tonight was not the first time I have been a patron of this establishment. Yet, tonight was the last time I will ever be a patron of this establishment. The service was awful, the food was cold, and the management was unapologetic and unaccommodating. This evening was a celebration of my husband’s birthday that left us sharing MY meal with no apologies from anyone! The managers response to my husbands cold meal was, “Do you want a hot one?” and our waitress was completely standoffish after the problem! Shame on your staff for their lack of customer service!
