Rating: 4.5 starts rounded up to 5.Ordered just their butter chicken for lunch with a side of the soup of the day (tomato). While the chicken could have been a bit more tender, overall, I quite liked how the dish came together.Hope to go back to try some of their other dishes sometime.

Donderos is my favorite place in Athens. It is a great place to being friends and family or to come and work. It is quiet, they don't blast music and there is always a table available. The breakfast burrito is delicious (pro tip to add the pinto beans) and the cortados are excellent. The to-go items are all delicious especially the Butter Chicken and the Dal.The service is always top notch 100% and I have a great experience everytime.I truly love everything about Donderos!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

One of the coolest cafes I have been in my life. Not a lot of them open like this anymore, where you can sit comfortably, read, chat and they have great friendly baristas and lots of goodies.

Both a hidden gem and locally well known. The weekend brunch is the best value in town. Highly recommended.

Came back today after being away for a month. The potatoes? To die for. The eggs? Delicious. The donuts? Lacking flavor and take forever. Couldn’t even finish mine. They were too dense (no air/not fluffy) and the glaze was a mess everywhere. Although the donut was disappointing, the rest of the meal was delicious. Highly recommend their DK scramble. Will return but will stick to the sweets in the case.

i arrived after 2pm, so the kitchen was already closed, but they had lots of premade items. very lovely place, it has a very quaint and rustic atmosphere. it felt safe and welcoming for all people, especially LGBTQ+ folks like myself.i found a new brand of sparkling water there! (San Benedetto, 1L bottle, unflavored. never seen this brand before— adding the bottle to my collection after i drink it.)other items they had that piqued my interest:vegan pumpkin bread; vegan pumpkin muffins; oat cookies; granola cookies; to-go sesame noodles; to-go lasagna.

It was different than any place I have been. It was clean and friendly and spacious. You can have your food upfront, out to the porch or another room.

Donderos' provided the catering for our wedding, and it was phenomenal! They were super easy to work with, and everyone loved the food. Donderos' was a favorite for me and my husband when we lived in Athens, and we were excited to have that be a part of our wedding day.

Such a sweet spot for breakfast or lunch. Historic home with a rustic interior surrounded by a landscape of herbs and flowers. Today I had the chicken salad sandwich on gluten free flat bread with tomato and spinach leaves. It was so good! Even the gluten-free flat bread! And those of us who eat gluten-free know how hard these little luxuries are to find. A while back they offered gluten-free lemon bars in their bakery case. Whether you are gluten-free or not you should definitely get one of these with a great cup of coffee
