When they 1st opened the Location on the west end of Athens (Tim St) we maybe went too many times and tired of it. Tonight we went back for the 1st time in years; and, I am glad we did! Our server (sorry no name tag) was the greatest. The food was phenomenal, and we are still smiling two hours after we left. We started with an appetizer of the grilled scallops on a bed of zucchini ribbons with a burre blanc sauce. Folks most places, even the highly rated, ruin scallops by overcooking them. Tonight these were perfect, a definite 10+! Today was horribly hot. Before we left to go to the restaurant we both agreed we were only going to have salads. My wife had the chopped Italian salad, and I had the ? Salata; shrimp and scallops with a jalapeño citrus dressing. Wow!!! Folks, when I go Italian it is usually lots of protein with a gazillion carbs. If you want the flavor without adding on a few pounds, you can do it here. If you still want the carbs they have that as well. I recommend yawl give it a try. I am glad we did and will be adding it back into our rotation of restaurants!

I usually go to the ones on the East side or West side, but De Palmas is the best! It’s an Athens staple! From the. Bread with oil and vinegar to start to their famous specialty pizza with chicken and pineapple, to friendly servers and staff, De Palmas is that hometown Italian joint every city deserves. Keep up the great work!
We got to host a wonderful bridal dinner last night at DePalma’s Athens downtown location. The staff was wonderful, especially our server Chris. She was super knowledgeable and helpful picking out the perfect wines to go with our menu. I would highly recommend them for any intimate gathering.
Atmosphere was ok I liked all the old art it would be cool if they had jazz or classical or some other type of music . My food was ok the wine selection was good , I enjoyed my time there . The environment is the best thing about this place. Service was good , and again the environment was cool.
This place was an overall bad experience. It took a little more than an hour for us to get our food and when it did get there it was mediocre at best. I understand that they are under-staffed, which explains the wait but not the terrible food. And none of the staff were wearing masks. Not even the ones in the kitchen. So I probably won't go here again, the fish tasted like water, the kale was chewy and tasted like steak, and the ravioli was just gross. I'm only giving it more than a one because the pizza was alright, not good, but alright.
The atmosphere was very pleasant and the workers were very kind. The food was good I was very surprised to see the huge slab of eggplant for my dish but it was very tasty. I do wish there was a bit more noodles because of how good it tasted but this is Definitely a place I'd like to come back to.
