Stars are for the food that's the only problem. Tasted like a hungry man meal to me, we got chicken fried steak. But the place its self was very clean. They have staffing issue just like everyone else so be patient waiting. The staff was friendly and did their jobs well. Very nice place the dinner just wasn't for me. We do love the breakfast there though. That's good but it's breakfast it's not to hard.

Took 90 min from being seated to getting our water refill and correct sides so we could eat our dinner. Service is beyond slow. Waitress would disappear and not return for over 20 min. X3Then forget half the stuff we requested. None of the wait staff was pleasant. They were not rude but they definitely were having a bad day.We had to go to the doorway to the kitchen to get someone to actually stop and help us out. Then the lady walked off half way during us saying what all we needed. I don’t mind paying a bit more nowadays for my food. And I consider myself a gracious customer due to my past employment - but tonight was BAD! At least the food we did get tasted good.

The food was very delicious and the service was great.

EXTREMELY slow service. Could be the state of the labor market, but the restaurant seemed to be well staffed during our visit. We visited at 11am on a Monday, got seated right away, but took 45 minutes to get our drinks, and we were there about an hour and 15 minutes before our food was on the table. At which point we couldn't immediately start eating, because we were never given silverware, so we continued to wait for our waitress, who also seemed to be the Manager, bto track down a set of silverware for the table. Never received a drink refill, but check was dropped off promptly, at least we didn't have to wait for that. When we finished and left at ~12:30, the shop portion was PACKED with patrons waiting for a table.Food was decent, but not remarkable. Definitely lower quality than other Cracker Barrel locations we visit.

Usually I have a really nice experience here when I come to Athens. But Saturday night was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Cracker Barrel. We waited 45 minutes for a table, which was fine, but we noticed that the place wasn’t packed and half the tables still had dirty dishes on them. When we sat down the waitress told us ALL the items that they were out of, which I wish they would’ve told us that before we waited 45 minutes for a table. After we ordered our meals, we waited for about 30 minutes for our food but while we waited we were out of drinks. When another person(not our waitress) brought our food, we told them we needed refills and that we never received or bread. Everything on our plates were room temperature or cooler except for the fried okra. We were about five minutes into eating when I had to find someone to get us those refills. We never seen our waitress for the rest of the time we were there. I finally got up and went to find the manager. She brought us our refills and our bread. But you would think that as the manager, she would try her hardest to please us as customers….not. Now let me tell you that I understand being short staffed cause I run a restaurant myself, but they had plenty of help for the amount of customers that were there. I think if they had better management then maybe the staff would do what was right to satisfy the customers.

I have always loved the cracker barrel. Good food nice atmosphere but there is one more thing that puts them over the top. Do you know what that is? It's the wonderful gifts and clothing they sell. The cutest blouses and children's cloths. Stop by and check them out and grab a meal while your there. You will not leave empty handed.

Not good service didn’t asked anything

The service was great. The hostess and servers were nice. The food was marginal. Usually it’s awesome. The cook must have been having an off day. I ordered a chicken blt with fries. The bacon was greasy and had no flavor. The fries were hit and miss. Some were cooked all the way, and some were almost uncooked.I’ll definitely visit again and give it another chance. I think I’ll order breakfast from now on, though.

Service was so fast that after ordering I used the restroom and the food was there when I returned. I had grandma's special and ordered peaches to put over the pancakes. They were the best pancakes I have had I'm a long time. Would definitely recommend this particular Cracker Barrel!!

Worst experience at a Cracker Barrel ever. 40 min wait for food & when it was delivered, my son literally had 2 French fries on his plate, no butter for cornbread or biscuits was served to any of our party of 6. The mashed potatoes looked like they were a week old. There was only a Tbsp of gravy served with our country fried steak/chicken and none on old potatoes, eggshells in eggs. Dirty silverware. I’ll never go back. Ever. 73 dollars later..
