Excellent Que and great sides. I have wanted to go here since my daughters started at UGA. It was worth the wait.I got the butt plate with two sides. The BBQ portion was nice and the sides were huge. Overall, a very tasty meal. Next time I'll try the brisket.
Friendly service, large servings, brisket was excellent as was pulled pork and sides were great..green beans tasted as if they were smoked.
Nice little place, the meat was good but the sauces are something special.
Brought my British partner to Butt Hutt to try American BBQ and we both were thrilled at the experience. Both of our meals were incredible. The meat was so tender and juicy and the sides were fantastic. Definitely recommend trying it out if you're looking for good BBQ!

This was my second time here and I was very pleased again. We got the app sampler with jimmy sauce on the wings, it was very tasty! Brisket was delicious with the mild sauce, and the fried okra and Mac n cheese are the perfect sides. Bartender was very gracious and friendly, can't wait to come back!
If I could leave 0 stars I would! I Ordered a rib plate place opens at 11 and the ribs was ice cold. I sent them back! They literally warmed them up and brought the same ribs back! -1 Lol ONLY 3 Ribs on a rib plate
Went with my mom and wife today. Mom lives in Gainesville now, but we had an errand there, and took her. She alway loved Butt Hutt. Hadley was our server. She was very friendly, courtesy, attentive, and friendly. I hope she sees this. My wife and I had been taking in the way to mom’s that we’d like bbq sometime soon. Little did we know what mom had planned! We all enjoyed our meals. Maybe, a little too much!
If you're looking for small plate, boutique barbeque...look elsewhere. This is down and dirty southern bbq served with fried sides and cold beer. Speaking of fried, the fried coconut pies are amazing. The potato salad is a premium side but worth the upgrade. Thursday night trivia is fun.
The food is great. The only thing, I would have grill the bread same. Then plain. But meat is great.
