I've lived in Athens all my life, and I have faithfully gotten sushi from another restaurant in the same vicinity. I've driven past Ahi many times, but I dismissed it because of what it looked like on the OUTSIDE. Big, huge mistake! On a whim I ordered a poke bowl (which I've never had before). Y'all, this was SO good. A bowl full of fresh, tasty ingredients..I 100% agree that this place has amazing food. Do not hesitate to try it. It's absolutely delicious!!
So fresh. So good.I’ll also add that they were so fast.If you’re in the mood for poke, this spot should be on your list. I was staying in the Hilton Garden Inn and it was incredibly convenient.It’s not as cheap as other reviews made it seem, but it’s worth the price.
This place IS AMAZING!!!!! The poke bowls are like a sushi roll but in a bowl…. Their lo mein noodles are to die for and the habachi is even better!!! I HAVE FOUND MY DOWNTOWN EATERY!!!
This is hands down the best poke establishment I have ever set foot into. Their fish is fresh and tasty and the toppings are amazing. Not only is the poke amazing, the hibachi is the best for the price and all of their appetizers SLAP. The price is just incredible for the amount and quality of food. Love it here forever and ever.
I have been to many hole in the wall cheap hibachi shops and this is the bay far the best one of all. I got steak hibachi and spicy tuna. Spicy tuna was not the whole chunk but chopped and mushed still tasty and good quality. More spicy tuna than rice and other ingredients which is a plus. Steak in hibachi was in point. Not too chewy and didn't have to pay for extra hibachi mayo sauce. Great place definitely will visit again!
The absolute best poke place ever! Not only is it super affordable compared to other places but they give you a huge serving! The ingredients are yummy and fresh and the people there are always so sweet! Fast service too! No extra $ for add ons or anything. Even when I graduate and move back to Atlanta, I will still go here atleast once a month because it’s THAT good!
Consistently amazing spot for both poke bowls and hibachi/fried rice! My favorite. Always so quick and fresh, large portions and reasonable prices. Can't recommend this place enough!
Criminally underexposed downtown restaurant. This place is what I remember restaurants being like before I moved to Georgia's biggest colony of affluent hipster d-bags: reasonably priced, big portions, and delicious food. The hibachi dinners can feed a short person for a day.
best place i've found in Athens for poke bowls so far! not only is it tasty, it's beautiful!!!bowl i recommend:• large (it's about ~$11-$13, depends on which platform you use— cosmic recommended)• base: sushi rice• protein: tuna, albacore tuna, salmon• marinade: nah• toppings: avocado, edamame, corn, masago (fish eggs), tempura flakes, cucumber, sesame seeds• sauce: eel sauce
I ordered a hibachi plate with steak and asked for medium. When I get the meal I realize the steak is raw and kindly go to the lady working at the cashier and ask if they can throw it on the grill for a little longer. She says: “you asked for medium this is medium, so your telling me you want well done?” I tell her sure and she brings me a new plate. The picture below is of the supposed “well done steak” that they gave me. She continues to swear that the steak is well done even though it’s rare or even medium rare at best. Please go to a different restaurant if u want hibachi. Choo choo is another great restaurant for hibachi near by that is cheaper and knows how to cook steak.
