Great energetic ambiance as usual on a Saturday. Tables for 2 are limited so reservations are highly recommended as it gets real busy. Food was delicious. Braised short rib & Brussels Sprouts are suggested. Overall, this spot gets a thumbs up. ð
Loved the atmosphere and service but food was terrible. We had the chicken and waffles and the flat iron steak. The steak had a weird texture like it was pressed meat. Beer tasted super fresh though!
I had a reservation for three people at 7pm. It was 725 before anyone ever touched our table to welcome us or get a drink order. The restaurant was not busy. Simple requests like a straw or soda refill took ten minutes. The food was okay, no real complaints but still took longer than expected to come out. The server did not appear busy, just would disappear for periods of time. I was honestly just surprised with a lack of attentiveness at Jon Tafferâs restaurant which boasts on superior service and is in the business of improving other restaurants through Bar Rescue.
I went for my birthday and it was amazing. I will be going back
I did book there with great expectations but despite the very warm welcome from the hostess the rest of the experience didnât turn out all that great. It wasnât bad but it was meant to be a special evening for my daughterâs birthday but even though I mentioned it in the booking it was not brought up, the cooling was not enough, food was unfortunately nothing to write home about and the drinks too were mediocre. Very surprising. Not sure if all this was because they were busy, or they have become mediocre because now they are too busy and donât really care as the market is captured. Alpharetta downtown is turning out to be the most vibrant of neighborhood downtowns so instead of establishments getting over confident they should instead be aware that there is new competition sprouting every day. Would serve them well to keep up the standards, rather raise the standards.
For someone who tells others how to run a restaurant, I was very disappointed in the food quality here, I have never been served chicken tenders that were inedible, they literally tasted & had the consistency of rubber, the steak frites looked like they pulled it out of the sous vide & did nothing else to it. On a positive note the cocktails were good. Would not recommend for food, but go for the bar!
Iâm not sure what this place is trying to be. Itâs like a sports bar (with no one watching the TVs) with loud, dance club-style music, and the décor doesnât match either of those vibes. The lights over our table were too bright and shone right in our faces. That did get better, though, because the lights were dimmed twice over the course of our meal. The lamp at the table made more sense at that point. I noticed some tables around the periphery of the restaurant that were in the dark, though. Weird. The food was meh. Our entrées seemed to be overcooked and the meat dry. Other than that, it still tasted okay. Service was slow. I donât know if the go-to reason these days of low staffing is the cause or not, but there seemed to be a lot of staff moving about the restaurant. I donât feel compelled to return to this restaurant. That isnât to say I wouldnât at some point, but itâs just okay.
We had 16 ladies, all senior citizens, our monthly birthday luncheon. A good time was had by all! Seating was ready upon arrival, table adorned perfectly with dining necessities. Background music delightful, specialty cocktails superb. Assorted entrees were enjoyed, all exclaimed to be culinary sensations. Two in our group required a bit of seasoning adjustments and these requests were promptly, professionally, and satisfactorily handled. Desserts were decadent, even regular black coffee was a show stopper presentation. Our assigned waitstaff took care of us beautifully, seeing to each and every whim.
The service was really bad, the food was not good and the portions are very small. I would not go back.
First Visit to Taffer's. Everything was great as expected except the Hamburger was more slider size than burger patty. Given it's price it should have been bigger. I get meat costs, supply chain, inflation, labor costs, etc. But c'mon, would Mr. Taffer let that fly on Bar Rescue?? I think not! Thank You
