How does this place get decent ratings? This is my second time ordering from them, and I have to say it was probably the worst quality sushi I’ve ever eaten…disgustingly horrible quality sushi, and they always conveniently forget at least one or more than items, horrible experience… Will never go back, avoid if you’d like quality sushi.
The raw sushi was not fresh and had a very pungent odor…aka the fish was old. Second sushi restaurant in the north Atlanta area that has no idea what they are doing. Cooked items were greasy and mediocre. Not sure where the positive reviews are coming from, but this place is to be missed.
This place never disappoints! I want to add by saying I've ordered from UberEats. Usually with UberEats I tip a base of $0-$3 BEFORE my driver comes. When my driver comes, I usually then tip 20% and even higher if they're very kind. However, as I went back on the UberEats app... it wouldn't give me the option to tip! It was different this time because it didn't even tell me a driver was picking up my order or on the way, so I am assuming an employee from Sushi Sumo itself delivered it himself. I just want to apologize for the drive to this person on not receiving a tip. I wish I could send you a tip in some way, but until I come by in person (if I have time due to busy schedule) I'll make a note because I feel terrible.The food here is always so delicious and very fresh. I think the prices can be a little high, but you pay for that best quality, right? Anyway, I definitely recommend this place to others to try, and am very sorry again UberEats won't let me add a tip for you :(
Our party of five had Chinese, Thai, and sushi. All were very good according to the consumers.
Small place with excellent service and delicious food! We got egg drop soup, miso soup, pan fried potstickers, splendid roll and crispy tuna roll. Will be back. Highly recommend!
Great nabeyaki udon and a good selection of sushi rolls. The setting is very intimate, and the servers are attentive. The sushi is tasty, but on the pricier side especially for things like eel and tuna. Definitely worth a visit, great date place, but mind your budget.

came in for chicken fried rice absolutely disgusting the meat was slimy and gross, questionable if was chicken at all. i didn’t even wanna try it.
The food is ok but, the vegetables are overcooked and they're too expensive.The prices are ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.....especially since everytime I tell them not to over cook my vegetables, they do it anyway.I realize that you southern people like the vitamins cooked out of your vegetables (that's why you all are so overweight), but most of us northerners like the vitamins in ours.We like being able to identify our vegetables by their beautiful bright colors.I'll pay the price for the quality, because the food is good but, the vegetables being overcooked stops it from being quality food.
