We celebrated my dad's 79th birthday last night. The food was amazing, and the service was outstanding. Only thing that could have been better would have been something for my father for his birthday..
Awesome food, fantastic service. this is our favorite Italian and Seafood fine dining restaurant! Thanks to Steve who waited on us. he is great!
We have been to Rena's several times. Our meals have always been great, and it has been our new go-to Italian restaurant even though we live 30 minutes away. However, last night was so disappointing. The food and service has really gone down hill from when it first opened. My husband's wedge salad was about half the size of any wedge I have ever seen, and the lettuce wasn't fresh. I asked for 2 dressings on the side, and was charged for the 2nd dressing, and wasn't told it would be an up charge. We were never offered bread, and finally requested it when our salads arrived. The asparagus that came with my meal was white about halfway down the stock, and I was unable to even cut through it. I actually can't believe that it was served in that condition- it should have been caught on the expo line. We both ordered a full meal, but because we wanted to taste their spaghetti, we ordered it off of the children's menu, which was $7. When we got the bill they had charged us $11 saying that we weren't allowed to have the meal off of the children's menu and the server said that she got into trouble. Totally understandable if one of us hadn't purchased full meals off of the regular menu which we both had. At a minimum, our server should have communicated that to us instead of just waiting for us to see it on the bill. Unacceptable. It's obvious that they are starting to cut corners. Very disappointed.
Girls birthday celebration. No dessert for the birthday girl. Strange but OK. But manager/owner was rude and arrogant to the girls. We were regulars but won’t be going there any more because of the manager.
The crowd was very lively and lucky for us we were seated right away… Our server came on our table right away and took care of us… What really impressed me was when I ordered grouper I told the server I didn’t want to thin piece of grouper that I wanted a nice thick fillet… He actually went to the kitchen and brought out the raw fillet and asked me if this was acceptable and I said yes… I thought he went above and beyond to take good care of me
We had another wonderful dinner tonight. All of us had different entrees and thoroughly enjoyed them. Our server Greer was simply the best. She ensured that everything was perfect.
Ordered the chicken marsala, broccolini, asparagus. Chicken was gristly, not tender. vegetables were way over-spiced. Server was not attentive.
We had a family get together and when we arrived the place was somewhat vacant, during our time there the place filled up and the noise level was unreal. Can hardly talk with the people next to you at the table without elevating our voices. Brick building, should put sound absorbing wall pads in. May take the volume of the room down. Food wise and service was exceptional. Samantha was awesome. Very courteous and gave some advice. Everyone in our party loved the food. It was fresh and taste was more that what we expected. Deserts are from scratch and they where also very good.
Interesting concept for certain audiences. We enjoyed the food though and the fresh basil martini was amazing.
Our second time in this place and they manage to get better every time. Their Fish grilled to perfection and seasoned just right. Our server, David, was awesome and made our experience just perfect. If you want good, fresh, authentic Italian food and great service definately come here!
